Made from first grade English tanned hides in plain black with cast brass fittings (brown and tan available to special order, as are white metal fittings) with all stress points hand stitched to give a smart and strong appearance
Advantages: Long Lasting, Variety of colours, not too expensive Disadvantages: Colours can fade
...legs so I have to use boots each time she is ridden. I think that these boots lasted really well. I had to replace the back boots after about 2 and a half years as the PVC protection on one of them had been worn away. The front boots are still in perfect condition except the colour has faded quite a bit.
I have tried other boots but I think that these ones are much easier to use and more durable. Once the boots have been worn a few times, they mould to the horses leg and fit much better. The boots are easy to clean but may take a while to dry as they are made of neoprene. They are also quite cheap. If you buy online or from a catalogue like CAM Equestrian or Robinsons country Leisure, they are about £15-£18 per pair which is a really good price. Advantages: Covers everything for ages 4-94, lead rein to three day event Disadvantages: I just wish it was closer to home (but it's still worth the travel!)
...Trent Valley Equestrian Centre is a fantastic riding school and livery/competition yard - very friendly, very professional, very welcoming. Our daughter would live there if she could even though she doesn't have her own pony! From lead rein to three day event, from age 4 to 94 this is the place to learn to ride, to improve your riding and compete at every level. TVEC view riding as a complete activity including horse care and stable management - badges, tests and assessments at every level - individual badges, Pony Club, ABRS, BHS, NVQ - you name it, they do it. Every month it seems there is a new development - something small like a new stable door or something big like the new 1800 sq m International Level Indoor Arena to complement the four floodlit ourdoor arenas. If you don't believe me, try it for yourself at one of their regular...

Advantages: Painless. Disadvantages: Except for the initial expense.
...Black rubber or black leather? Could be a difficult choice. Well, this review doesn`t do black rubber, just black leather. Just don`t get too excited, it`s not going to be a kinky review, just highly predictable for me, riding boots! I have already written a review on a rubber pair of riding boots of a different make. This review is of leather boots and is completely different from my previous one, which was ages ago anyway. This review is about Sportvie High Rider boots by Mountain Horse.
Mountain Horse.

Mountain Horse is a well known name to most horse riders. They sell a variety of equestrain clothing, that is for the riders, not the horses. They even have their own little catalogue, though the clothing is available in most equestrian outlets. It is available via the internet also. They sell...
