Advantages: adjustability of the roko buckles and the machine wash Disadvantages: Blinkers are a bit square and stiff
I have this harness for my Shetland pony and find it excellent it really molds to her body shape and i think she finds it comfortable and a good fit, she goes very well in it. The roko fully adjustable buckles mean you can get the fit just right.
The only down side i would say is the bridle as the blinkers are a bit stiff and you cannot mould them to fit around the eye. I use a traditional bridle with this harness but the plasequestrian bridle would be ok to start off with with pre driving training.
The machine wash is what drew me to this, you can literally just chuck it in the wash and bung it on the line to dry, brilliant time saver - it washes well.
All round good reasonably priced harness for training and pleasure driving. ...
Been commuting with the 700x28c(622-28) Marathon plus tyre 4 months/2000km flatless on my city-bike. Every other trip I spot glass and the likes somewhere on my route, but I dont mind very much if I cant avoid running over it. Actually I've been running over large pieces of glass quite a few times while feeling it shatter under me even more, and without a worry in my mind.

I expect 5000+ km from these tyres before replacement. And that is the back tyre. Then when times comes, it is just a matter of replacing the rear wheel tyre with the old (but not so worn) front wheel tyre and then mounting all ...
Advantages: The sense of achievement on finishing Disadvantages: Forcing yourself to get through those last miles. The training.
I would recommend building up gradually. I used to be rubbish at running when I was young, but stuck at it and plodded around a few 10Ks. I certainly never thought I would manage a marathon.
Then, at Uni, I joined the cross country club, and generally came near the back of the field. I found the distance (around 2 miles) too short, and the speed too fast. In 1996, more by accident than design, I entered my first half marathon, The Great Scottish Run (thinking it was a 10K), and completed that fairly comfortably.
Then, back at Uni, Leicester RAG held a 24 hour race, with one ultra-athlete running around the university campus non-stop from 3 in the afternoon until 3 the next day! Nutter. I managed to keep up with him for three hours and ran 20 miles. It was then that I realised I could possibly have a go at a full marathon. I entered ...
