Pogo Impact

Advantages: Very Comfortable, great allrounder, velcro closure system
Disadvantages: Not the most technical shoe, the dye runs.

...This is more of a follow-up to my review of the standard Red Chili Spirits (http://sports.ciao.co.uk/RedChiliSpiritReview5643275) as I bought these after my lace up Spirits wore out. I found the Lace up shoes to be very comfortable while still offering ample ability, but fancied the quick on/off advantage of the Velcro Spirit. Advantages: Easy to use, great sweet spot
Disadvantages: My playing partners call me Hippo

...As a 27 handicapper, I bought these clubs new from the local shop. The only reason I bought them where due to these particular clubs being 1" oversize. The clubs came with a reputation of 'forgiveness' and forgive they do. The sweet spot is large, a hacker like me can usually hit a good enough shot with the occassional beauty. They always feel fantastic when hitting the sweet spot. For some reason, I'm able to get heaps of spin from these clubs using standard Wilson staff balls. I've hit hard Australian greens and have stopped them dead. These clubs give a great feel and inspire confidence at address. I've couple the clubs with Hippo Impact 10.5 driver and a lofty five wood. Being a 27, the above points are important. I've found that having full confidence in my clubs has improved my game allready and will continue to do so.... Read review

Advantages: Impressive durability, adjustibility, reliable SPD mechanism

...Why would you want a pair? Clip-in pedals originally developed for road bikes, have found their way onto cross country mountain bikes. A metal plate called a cleat is bolted to a specially adapted shoe. The cleat engages in a sprung loaded clip on the pedal, holding the foot in the most efficient position. You disengage the clip by rotating the shoe. They also enable you to pull on the up-stroke improving power, although the power benefits are relatively modest. The major advantage of clip-in pedals is that it enables you to perfect a smooth circular pedal stroke. Next time you're out on a flat piece of road/track, drop a gear, unclip one side and try pedalling with one leg.
