No point in Splitting hairs, its a great album!

Advantages: A lot of good tracks with different moods
Disadvantages: A few tracks where the vocals aren't quite clear enough

was pretty AND talented, a rather awesome package in just 1 person. If you didn't like redheads there was Emma Anderson - she of the dark haired persuasion, also singing & playing guitar and owning a pair of legs that go right up to her neck as well writing some of the songs into the bargain. And if you don't like girls there was always the rather gothic Phil King on bass or the sadly now deceased Chris Acland providing rather awesome drums that melded together the very different sound palette that was Lush. So the band had something for everyone, be you boy, girl or small fluffy creature from Alpha Centuri (I think Miki had them covered). Split was their 2nd album release arriving in June of 1994, all songs were either written by Miki or Emma apart from Starlust which was a joint effort. So whats on Split then? 01 - Light From ...

The Samsung PL50 - perfect choice for a simple point and shoot

Advantages: Great picture quality for the price, good looks, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Features you wouldn't want to use/which make pictures worse if anything.

that you encounter grain and artifacts. Having said this, you have to REALLY zoom in. A good feature - there's a built in memory, which won't take many pictures - two if you're lucky - but it's a good stopgap if you just happen to fill your memory card. So to summarise, I'd give this 9.5/10. It's got good looks, it feels good, it has a huge lcd display, there are some interesting modes to play with (As well as some frankly useless modes you should just ignore and pretend they aren't there) If this was more expensive, it wouldn't get 9.5/10. For the price though (£89), it's got to be up there for consideration, and possibly one of the best sub £100 cameras. It's a great point and shoot, and with it's facial recognition, low cost, great pictures - this is possibly the ideal "party going out" camera. For an upgrade camera, or for someone ...

Review of Samsung PL50

No Point second-guessing this!

Advantages: Brilliant premise, great cast, enjoyable film
Disadvantages: None

throughout and totally out of his depth, and to be honest I enjoyed following his story the most. Other great performances came from William Hurt as President Ashton, Ayelet Zurer as sly Veronica and Matthew Fox as Kent Taylor. In fact the whole cast were excellent, without a poor performance between them. Vantage Point is going to be one of those films that you will love or hate. Personally, I loved it and think it was a great concept for a film. Despite my initial reservations about how a film centering around 10 minutes of action repeated over and over would work, this one definitely pulled it off, without a doubt. The action was constant, from gun fights, to bombs, to fast-paced chases through the Spanish streets and finally to a high-speed car chase which really had me on the edge of my seat! As well as the action element, the film plays ...
