Advantages: Cheap, does the job Disadvantages: Extra features are unreliable
...I bought this bike for around £20 (brand new) from a popular catalogue store's clearance warehouse. My initial advice regarding this product is this: If you see it at a clearance warehouse retailing at around £20, and you really want an exercisebike and don't have the free cash to get anything more flash: get it.
If, however, you see this bike retailing at it's RRP (that's somewhere around the £80 mark), then walk on by, because it's really not worth it.
This is one of those products that is a bargain in the right circumstances. I'll tell you why, in a little while. First, the good bits.
It's a cheap exercisebike. It comes 'flat-packed' in three main parts- the main body, the seat and seat support, and the handlebar support. The handlebar, pedals and stand are all included, and have to be attached once the main sections are put...

Advantages: Cheap and Reliable Disadvantages: Uncomfortable Seat
...I am a very keen runner and have been back in training for just over a year now after having a few years off. As part of my quest to get back to the standard I used to be, I incorporate a few sessions a week on my exercisebike, this helps build speed endurance and strength in general.

Now its quite a simple exercisebike, which to me is a positive as all I want it for is for a few training sessions a week and to know the distance I have covered and how long it took me. I know there are alot of other exercisebikes around that will have more gadgets and stats on than this exercisebike...

Advantages: Stable stand, reasonably priced, some good features. Disadvantages: Pulse ear clip lead catches easily, not as many features as some models.

For me to exercise, I need to do it in a really controlled way, a way that doesn’t put added pressure on my muscles and joints, and that won’t exacerbate my symptoms. Swimming can be good, but only if the water is warm and the pool is very empty, or I can invest in an exercisebike which I can use at home when I am able to…. I chose the latter option as my local pools tend to be pretty cool, and somewhat crowded, and well, basically, the idea of appearing in public in a swimsuit just didn’t really appeal to me!
The Bike I chose:
The Delta Freeway II was my choice because it is not too heavy (even with my limited ability I can slide it across the floor into a better position...
