I was looking for something that would help me get stronger and especially in the forearm area, and i stumbled across this.
read quite a bit about it before i bought it, and it looked really good, build's up forearm & upper arm muscles and the price was reasonable too.
The first time you use it, you can feel your arm burn and the muscles being worked out, pretty freaky, my arm was all red and swollen up.
But using it as much as i can, i try 5 minutes on each arm everyday, then in ther afternoon i will maybe do it too.
I can tell a noticable difference, i have a stronger grip, and my forearms are building up just as good as the upper arm which is what i wanted, it also helps your wrist but i havent really felt that much difference too mine yet.
personally i think it helps build your muscles more easier than doing push ups, which is something im not very good at!
but bearing in mind that it helps your arms, you should try other arm exercises, to build up muscles that may not be worked out with the Power Ball. e.g top of your shoulders for example.
The name suits it well, i was amazed at how powerful the ball is, i spin it in my hand and pick up more speed and it feels so mental, puttings lots of pressure on your arms. it begins with your fore arms, then keep on going and you can feel it all they way up your arm.
At first i didnt have a very good grip, but using it has helped it be stronger so i can use it properly now. But using it for 5 minutes each arm is a reasonable time, after a while you will be able to make it go faster and putting more pressure on your arm, so you may need to shorten time after all.
The only problem i have is if your hand begins to sweat, it easily loses grip so i try to use it when its not too hot in my room.
and also if you have quite a large hand, my fingers sometimes nearly go underneath where you can see the ball spinning really fast, and it can burn a bit if it gets stuck.
I reccomend using a stop watch or something similar to time yourself properly, so you can keep both arms in equal strength. But i try to do my left arm a minute or so longer because it doesnt feel as strong!, maybe because im right handed!
Description of the ball:
its small, about the same size as a tennis ball and is made of plastic, and has a rubber belt style grip around it. the top of it contains a small LED which can count the RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) and do a few more things.
The bottom of the ball is cut off, to show some of the Gyroscope inside, this is becasue you use some special string with it to put in a hole, then pushing the plastic part of the gyroscope up, to wrap string around it then you pull it like a rip cord.
this is how the powerball starts off, if you dont do a good enough pull on the cord, it can be pretty annoying, but it really isnt too hard once you get the hang of it.
Also, ive never seen these in the shops, which is pretty suprising so if you want to get one you will have to shop around online, but it isnt hard to find. i got mine for £15, which is a bargain, you can also pay a bit more and get one that lights up, or even a metal one!
