The Powerball 250HZ Blue is one of the most compact, simple, and fun machines I’ve used throughout most of my life. I first saw it when a friend was using it and realised after having a go that it was just so much fun!
The Powerball does not only just rotate and spin giving you a good workout, it can record the maximum number of revolutions a minute to give you a personal best to keep aiming to top, to a strength measurer!
Learning to use it took no time at all, just put the string in, pull hard and begin rotating. But as you may know, or possibly will know, the ball does require a little bit of technique to hit the high revolutions like spinning it in the right direction at the right time and speed, but all this you work out for yourself through feel, and time. Its hard work and not for the lazy (a bit like me) but don’t give up if your non-normal arm can spin this for a maximum of 10 seconds, you will build up your stamina.
A few little pointers I learned from experience that you should always use your string to start the ball (so don’t lose the string!) because using the floor, or clothing can get little bits caught inside the cage. Also, the rubber grip along the outside is not firmly fixed, it sits in a small crevice meaning that if your going for a long a hard workout, it does sometimes come undone, but it needs to be removable to enable the owner to get inside the cage if they need to fix it, or clean it. Its also quite quiet if your using it when watching a film, or reading a book, but I don't think it would go down all too well if your using it whilst with company.
Overall I have nothing to criticise about in the Powerball, all of its functions are outstanding, the ball itself is durable (in case one accidently loses grip of it when trying to top a high score), and it looks good especially with the lights. So if you are looking for a machine to help tone up those forearms, strengthen the wrists for sports, help you during physiotherapy, or even just to use for fun, this is great.. simply great!
