Advantages: Cheap,easy to use and well made
Disadvantages: Not suited to all golfers. Not for the experts!

Golf is a game I always imagined old men playing with nothing better to do than while away their retirement coffers on expensive sets of clubs. Well, not true. In fact, players like Sergio Garcia and Tiger woods have done a lot to popularise it with the younger set. When im at my local driving range, it always shocks me as to how many children are playing. However, good golf clubs cost some serious money. A set of good quality irons will set you back many hundreds of pounds. Or so I thought. Advantages: Low price, powerful and nice design
Disadvantages: Not suitable for high handicaps due to small head size

...The Mizuno MP-001 series of fairway woods are available in a wide range of lofts, with a variety of shaft flexes. Due to being released a few years ago, they are now extremely good value and can be picked up for around £50/£70 (steel/graphite) new and prices are coming down all the time. They are very good looking with a sleek design and look good over the ball. With a simple arrow alignment aid and a compact head these are better suited for the better-player who can guarentee a good strike. Even so, they are very forgiving compared to other low-handicapper woods and hit the ball a long way. In my opinion they are just as good as any other club out and are un-matched for value. Disadvantages: Being a golf ball - none really...

...a set of "Mid-Range Grade A golf balls" costing about 16 quid from www.lakeballs.com. Mid-Range means that they are not economy balls, neither are they the posh Tiger Woods approved ones. (Wow, I went that far without a Tiger Woods reference) I imagine this ball would be pretty good for playing golf, If I could actually bother to buy golf clubs, a caddy, tees, baggy trousers, a sun visor hat, and (It goes without saying, really) A golf buggy. Only with a petrol engine. A 6 litre V12 from a Ferrari Enzo. Or would the emissions damage the pitch?... Read review
