So I was bored the other day, I don't know if anyone on Ciao is from Belfast but does anyone actually like Victoria Square? I was getting a lift home from uni for Easter and my mum felt compelled to go and have a look. I wondered around bored for awhile then decided to gothinking about going to get something to eatand then walked past noticing HMV had a sale on. With only £5 to my name I didn't think I should go in, but I couldn't help it. 16 Blocks caught my eye and thus I starved in its name.
The Story
The film starts at a crime scene, some latin gangsters have been murdered and the police officer in charge wants to get an "unimportant" officer to cover the crime scene, an aged out of shape Bruce Willis walks in with a newspaper and plants himself on a seat and takes out a hip flask of whiskey. He plays a charcter called Jack ...

Who/What
In a world where Swing Out Sister have released a new album, Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick & Titch release a greatest hits and Glasvegas unleash their mighty debut, I was at a loss at what to write about. So, for the sake of badness, here once again, inspired by (or jumping on the bandwagon of) Take That's miraculous comeback, are New Kids on the Block. However, they aint new, they're no kids and far from being 'on' the block, it's clear that by now they've been round it a few times. Still, for the sake of nostalgia, let's have a giggle.

When Bruce Willis wears a moustache it means he's either playing comedy or he's playing old. In the role of Jack Moseley, Willis is a middle-aged cop contending with burnout and of course that bottle of alcohol in his desk drawer. Yes Moseley is another in a long line of cops from the crime cliché book housed in the hills of Hollywood.
Moseley is tossed an assignment to transport a prisoner sixteen blocks through New York City, this prisoner is due to testify in court. But the only trouble is that Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) is about to testify against a crooked cop and make things very difficult for some members of New York's finest. Soon the pair find themselves in the line of fire from a few moody cops who want Bunker shut up.
