Pedal Power

Advantages: Perfect for sporting or casual use.
Disadvantages: None

important as the left side is screwed in anti-clockwise. The pedals come with reflectors which need to be screwed in place if you are cycling in poor light. You are also provided with a nice new set of cleats for your cycling shoes too. The final contents of the package are a set of simple instructions for fitting and using the pedals, and a Shimano warranty. Each pedal has a fitting by which the tension of the mechanism that locks on to the cleat can be increased or decreased. The idea is that you start with low tension which makes releasing easier, and when you are experienced, the tension is increased making the lock more secure. Finally, these pedals are two sided. One side has the cleat mechanism, for use with cycling shoes. The other side has a simple platform for use with ordinary shoes or trainers. 4 The Experience ...

Review of Shimano A530 SPD Single Sided Touring Pedals

* Put the Pedal to the Metal! . .

Advantages: Can provide grip, can look good.
Disadvantages: Can become loose, expensive.

Momo now sell a wide range of fittings for sporting cars, and to be honest the Momo pedal kits are typical of the modern products. The equipment they sell nowadays, is in my opinion, mainly for show, and although it may look sporty, it does not actually do anything for the performance of the car, The fact is, in some circumstances, these could be counter productive, as these pedal "covers" are actually mounted on top of the existing pedals. The pedal kit is made to look like aircraft grade aluminium, and to be quite honest I have no problem with the quality, they do feel good, and are certainly sturdy. I have never heard of one breaking, even in an accident, however, I have ...

Behringer FX600 pedal -More sounds than a blender full of cats

Advantages: A lot of effects in one unit. Good price
Disadvantages: The Blue LED is a bit bright and can be distracting

-effects pedal which means that instead of doing just one thing, like a Wah Wah pedal, this one has a large range of settings, allowing a huge range of different sounds to be played. The different effect settings are: Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Delay (Echo), Tremolo and pitch shifter. The Chorus effect is a nice sounding one, it takes the basic note played and adds a little highlight, higher and lower than the original tone. With adjustment you can make sounds like those used by Dave Gilmour on Dark Side of the Moon and Pink Floyd live at Pompeii. The Flanger is another modulating effect that adds a swirling effect. Hard to describe in words but very psychedelic. The Delay is an echo effect, with a wide range of delay periods, reiterations and depth. Phaser effect is a great 70s effect, just clicking onto this one took me back to my youth ...
