Advantages: 900° rotation, superb force feedback, lots of buttons Disadvantages: consumes lots of desk space, pricey
you used to with wheels of old. Instead Logitech have once again endeavoured to make it as accurate to the real world as possible. As a bit of car geek myself, I have to say they've succeeded. If your in a compatible game that has a decent force feedback engine, you'll find it quite easy to work up a bit of a sweat, constantly fighting the wheel for control of the direction of your vehicle! With older wheels, you used to get a motor inside the wheel with some weights attached that would spin whenever the game though it necessary to try and simulate bumps or crashes in the game. Once again the DFP strides proudly into the next level of gaming by offering realistic feedback feeling - if your car in game is on ice for example, then the whole steering goes very light, similarly with oversteer and understeer, if your vehicle in game is ...
Previously, I had a pair Of Ritchey WCS Ti spd pedals (i paid £60 on ebay, but the retail at £140!!). These were next to useless - the bearings failed within 12 months. They looked good and weighed not a lot, but didn't work very well, at all :O(
I begrudgingly purchased the XTR spd's for £56.99 from wiggle, as I didn't want to go the "shimano" route again. First impressions of quality were superb, especially for under £60!!! The smoothness of the bearings is silk like. fitting is just like any other pedal. Adjusting the tension springs was also the same as any other spd, although I didn't have to do them as tight as previoud spd's I'd owned. Clicking in and out of the pedal gave a satisfying quality click. In riding i've done so far, they perhaps clogged more than i'd have liked, but the riding was very very extreme.

Advantages: works right out-of-the box, easy installation, comfortable Disadvantages: has some features not discussed anywhere - might be a disappointment
This is a USB 2.0 compliant analogue game controller with three axis. Two pedals are linked together (rudder / Z axis), and each pedal has toe action (differential brakes for example). Its destined audience are flight simmers. It could be used for other games too, but results may vary.
Just received the item, so I only have short-term experience.
It is made of plastic, only essential parts are made of steel. It feels pretty decent though. It is about the right size, the space between pedals are just right. The length of the pedals is adjustable in three steps, with a push of a button.
I use it on carpet, and it stays where I put. Should you still need more grip, it is shipped with self-adhesive Velcro straps you can use if you want. Two extra pads can be attached to either the front or back of the chassis for more stability ...
