This torch is excellent. Very well designed with good quality materials (no cheap breakable plastic) .It is very robust, with a very bright 3W LED and smaller LEDs for local wide beam. I have owned one for over a year and have used it while backpacking, tinkering with the car at night, etc.. I have used re-chargeable Ni-MH batteries with no problems - the circuitry seems to handle the slightly lower voltage without any noticeable loss of performance. It is not cheap but it is worth paying the extra for it. ...
