Pro fitness Wrist Weights 2 x 1lb

Wrist weights have got to be an ideal thing to have at home, as they are relatively small and easy to store which compared to a lot of the home exercise equipment I have is both hard to come by and a really good thing.

These Pro fitness wrist weights came from Argos and I purchased them the same time as the Pro Fitness Ankle weights which they sell also. They both match in style and colour but this was not why I bought them, due to the fact I have never been out of the house in them, but more to do with the fact that they appeared to be the cheapest option available.

At £5.95 pence for the two wrist weights they seem to represent a good value for money item as other branded wrist weights I have seen could cost up to nearly double this price! I felt for the little use I wanted for these weights just around the house that the cheapest would be fine.

The weights are not the nicest to look at as the bright blue colourings make the wrist and ankle weights more noticeable which is not necessarily something that you really want when wearing them! I tend to keep trousers on so no one can tell I am doing the hoovering in them!

The Wrist Weights are easy to attach to the wrists as they are fastened with a thick strap of Velcro which has been nothing but strong and compliant each time I have used the weights over the past couple of years. The Velcro strap is threaded through a metal holder which then allows the strap to double back on itself and fasten securely.

The weights would be suitable for more or less all sized wrists I should think as the Velcro strap makes the weight as tight or as loose as you require it to be. Once in place, the wrist weight can cause some slight irritation, more so than the ankle weights. The Velcro strap was a little stiff and did cause rubbing when I moved my hands excessively which I did quite a lot doing the housework and then doing other hand weights. The Velcro did soften as time worse on and I used the weights more and more but they didn't feel as comfortable as they could have or indeed I found the ankle weights to be.

The now don't seem to rub as much but I wouldn't say they are the most comfortable thing to wear and for this reason I am perhaps put off wearing them more so than I would be had they been really comfortable to wear!

Other than this I find that they have no other faults. They are easy to wipe clean and they have kept there newish look even after having them for a good amount of time. They are not overly heavy to use which is a good thing as I do suffer with one dodgy wrist that is easily hurt and too much weight on it wouldn't be a good thing.

Overall I have to give these Pro Fitness Wrist Weights a fair score of 3 out of 5 stars. Of course these minus marks are for the bright colour design which is not overly appealing and the fact that they caused a fair bit of irritation.

I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you

Many thanks for taking the time to read.
