Advantages: Feels great. Looks Great. Plays Great Disadvantages: Definitiely a top of the price wedge!
...the ball, which is not good for sand shots or shots of tight lies. The 4 degree bounce lobwedge that I own is ideal for shot out of the rough or fairway. There is also a 10 degree bounce lobwedge. This is better for sand shots, but is also very useful off the fairway and out of rough.
The Vokey comes in a chrome finish or an oil can finish. The oil can finish is designed to "rust" up over time. I have owned mine for about a year now and is rusting up nicely. This increases the spin on the ball and allows the ball to stop even quicker on the green. For the types of flop shots you will be playing with this club, that is absolutely ideal.
The club itself feels great. It has a lovely weighting to it and when hit properly the feel of the ball off the clubface is perfect. You can almost feel the ball sliding up the clubface and the spin being...

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use and well made Disadvantages: Not suited to all golfers. Not for the experts!

So the clubs were redesigned with a hollow back, called Cavity-Backed clubs.
This then allowed the designers to put the weight where...

Advantages: Classic shape and unmatched control Disadvantages: Reflection in the sun
...Although Titleist have since released a number of wedges to add to their series, the original Vokey Chrome is still a formidable golf club. A must buy for any serious golfer who appreciates quality and control, I believe the looks are unmatched by any other Titleist Wedge and many others from top brands. If you are looking for spin control this club is perfect. It offers fantastic consistency and a high spin rate, combined with good feel. All lofts are useful and if added to your bag can drastically improve your short game. I use 4 of these wedges (48, 52, 56 and 60 degree) and would not be playing off 7 without them. They add an extra dimension to your game and I believe are unmatched by any other brand. Since this Wedge series has been out for a few years, the price is relatively cheap and presents excellent value for money. For those...
