As mentioned, if you can afford to spend between £20 and £35 on a shirt, do it. But do not feel pressured into buying it just yet, wait until the final couple of months of the season, the prices do tend to drop by around £5 in most shops. ...Ok, first things first, I have no idea why this is listed as a Kappa kit. It is made by Puma as Kappa made the older Thomsons kit. Right, now thats out of the way, on with the review. Being a Spurs fan since 1981 I've had numerous kits down the years from manufacturers including Le Coq Sportif, Hummel, Adidas, Umbro and Kappa. All of these shirts at the time seemed great but only when newer styles come out do you realise the design flaws in them (the Kappa one for example was skin tight which looks great on a skinny Aaoron Lennon but not so on anyone like me with a bit of a porky belly). Anyway, I decided to treat myself to the new Puma-Mansion kit in April of this year. We had had a good season and it had been a couple of years since I had bought the home shirt. ...Laver & Wood are a relatively new entrant in to the cricket bat market, having only been in existence for a very short while. I happen to have been a very lucky winner – a web ad on the Cricket Club website for the club I play for in Austria, meant that I was the first person in Austria to have one of these beautiful bats. A lot of the information within this opinion is worth bearing in mind if you are looking for a cricket bat in general – not just one of these beauties. The name “Private Bin” will be more familiar to oenologists than cricketers. Laver and Wood are based in the wine growing region of New Zealand and the best wines are always kept in the “Private Bin” and similarly the best willow is used to make these bats – all blades having a minimum of 7 straight grains (your average club bat will only have about 4-5 at most...
