I bought these shin pads new for £12.99, having totally obliterated my older shin pads in a match.

I bought the gold and black coloured pads as I thought they looked very good, as for warring the pads they are very comfortable with a rugged stiff gold coloured outer for good shin protection.

I always buy the sort of shin pads that have incorporated ankle support and protection which with thick football socks provide excellent ankle protection.

The material is tough wearing padded nylon round the ankle support and the shin support is gold reinforced plastic with padded inners to absorb any impact on the shin.

This is covered in tough yet soft material for added comfort where the pad rests on the skin.

For £12.99 at my local high street sports store I'm sure you could get them cheaper but I thought he price was very good.

Puma is a great make of which I have had many things as trainers, bags and clothing, and they have all been durable yet fashionable.

Although the shin pads are for protection and not what they look like, as socks when playing football mainly hide them, it's an added bonus if they look good.

Just to let any lads needing some new pads these would be a highly recommended purchase as they are well tough, I have been clattered loads of times since buying them and been ok.

Studs are not able to break or penetrate the plastic on the outside and the reinforcing and padding would give you extra protection if this did occur.

Which I would be very surprised if it did, another point id due to the thickness you may need a size up in socks to cater for the thickness.

I'd rather do this then have a broken leg, so in conclusion I am very satisfied and would recommend theses to potential buyers, either adult or child because of the protection and design.

Other good points are the value for money and the designer look; I am very impressed with the pads after using in 5 football matches
