Advantages: New take on WWII, satisfactory stealth game to keep until new stealth games are out Disadvantages: Nothing new to add to the genre, weak gunplay, slightly erratic AI and animation.
PRICE [15 May 09]: £29.99 (Amazon.co.uk), £34.99 (Play.com), £29.99 (GAME), also available on PC.
Velvet Assassin is a game that will entertain the hardcore stealth fan, but disappoint those who are a fan of a bit more action.
I love stealth games. From my first experience of Thief, I applauded the idea that to progress through a game you had to go through highly secured areas undetected, hiding in the shadows and behind objects - potentially taking out anyone that stands in your way in a silent but effective method.
