Advantages: Great shinpads at great price Disadvantages: There are better shinpads than these
My mum recently bought me these new shinpads and I instantly thought, "Sondico? MUM! Where's my Nike shinpads!"
Now I'm glad she didn't buy the nike ones for a couple of reasons,
I think these ones are far more comfatable.
When I got these out of the pakaging I could already tell that these were going to be a really good pair of shinpads.
They have rubber insides and rubber around the sharp plastic edges which will keep your shins well protected and really comfatable.
They have an ankle guard already attached to protect your ankles from hard knocks and studs attached to them so these are ideal for football and hockey.
They also look really cool, dark blue plastic with black rubber and a black ankle guard, or silver plastic with a black ankle guard.
I have already used these shinpads for football, rugby and hockey, I ...
Owned a Puma from new for 18mths now, so had quite sometime to get to know it's characteristics.
During the time I've owned the car, its price has fallen dramatically, especially thru car importing. You can pick up a new Puma from Holland now for around 10K, with all mod-cons.
My Pumu can be quite a guzzler of fuel (as can any car driven with lead-feet), but generally I average around 27mpg. Servicing falls in at around GPB100 every 12K miles. The insurance is a group 12E, making the car quite expensive to own for younger drivers.
Externally the car is layed out as a 2 door - coupe, with bug-eye projector front-lights and neat rear light-nests. The 'Bullit'-fuelled sleak-styling makes the car really stand out from all other Japanese and European cars.
Performance is superb in all weathers. The engine is smooth ...

Advantages: Great fun to drive Disadvantages: Expensive
the back is much softer for comfort.
The engine pumps out 126mph at top speed and it catapults you to 60 in 8.8 seconds.
Not bad when you think it is simply a fiesta subframe with a tidy engine.
For a performance car, it is very fuel economical. It promises you 38mpg in normal cycle and 35 in urban cycle.
The first models on the road came with the 1.4 16V engine only. The 1.7 16V model followed about 3 months later.
If you are buying one for looks alone, a saving of £1,500 will be made with the 1.4 model. Dont get me wrong, its quick enough but lacks that extra crisp bite a sports car should have. Its more like having a kit car version of the Puma.
The 1.7 model on the otherhand is very rapid indeed.
I have been in all 3 types of Puma now. The 1.4, 1.7 and the limited edition now and I would dearly love a special. There are only 1000 ...
