Advantages: Ultra light - great for all occasions Disadvantages: Spurs wording fades on the collar very quickly
Ok, first things first, I have no idea why this is listed as a Kappa kit. It is made by Puma as Kappa made the older Thomsons kit. Right, now thats out of the way, on with the review.
Being a Spurs fan since 1981 I've had numerous kits down the years from manufacturers including Le Coq Sportif, Hummel, Adidas, Umbro and Kappa. All of these shirts at the time seemed great but only when newer styles come out do you realise the design flaws in them (the Kappa one for example was skin tight which looks great on a skinny Aaoron Lennon but not so on anyone like me with a bit of a porky belly).
Anyway, I decided to treat myself to the new Puma-Mansion kit in April of this year. We had had a good season and it had been a couple of years since I had bought the home shirt. Being the end of the season I had a right game trying to locate ...
Advantages: Light, robust, its a Spurs shirt Disadvantages: Will be out of date at the end of the season
beaming all over my face.
The shirt in more detail
The shirt is made by Puma. This is my second Tottenham shirt made by Puma and the quality is of the highest order. This shirt is really comfortable. Made from 100% polyester, it is one of the lightest wearing shirts I have ever had. Despite this fact, it actually seems more robust than my previous one, for example, when I pull the shirt over my head, it doesnt feel as if I am going to put my fingers through the fabric. This was always a worry with my old shirt, although it never happened, it always felt as if it would do one day.
As this is the away shirt, the predominant colour is navy blue as opposed to the famous white on the home shirt. What sets this aside from previous away shirts is the use of the vivid yellow trim. This contrasts really well with the navy blue, making ...
Owned a Puma from new for 18mths now, so had quite sometime to get to know it's characteristics.
During the time I've owned the car, its price has fallen dramatically, especially thru car importing. You can pick up a new Puma from Holland now for around 10K, with all mod-cons.
My Pumu can be quite a guzzler of fuel (as can any car driven with lead-feet), but generally I average around 27mpg. Servicing falls in at around GPB100 every 12K miles. The insurance is a group 12E, making the car quite expensive to own for younger drivers.
Externally the car is layed out as a 2 door - coupe, with bug-eye projector front-lights and neat rear light-nests. The 'Bullit'-fuelled sleak-styling makes the car really stand out from all other Japanese and European cars.
Performance is superb in all weathers. The engine is smooth ...
