Advantages: Great ride Disadvantages: Cut corners on some componentry
...From the first moment you step astride this bike you will want one . Althogh the frame is a little on the thin side it has that typical cromoly feel to it . The bike has lots of great componentry on board and so you will feel like a pro. The chainset is good value for the price of the bike . Paying this sort of amount of money on a bike I would expect to see Shimano XT or something better the forks Jett xc's are a fab set of cross country forks and for the rider who is just getting started this bike may or may not be the one for you....

...This new Kona Roast features a 7005 downhill alloy frame, a marizocci z5 fly lite air suspension, a drive chain consisting of a race face pordigy chainset and shimano deore LX front and back derallieurs, deore shifter, 9 speed cassette and XT cranks. I conclude an excellent allround bike for the money...
