I just love the PS3, it is everything I need in an entertainment system;
1. It plays High Definition games - loads to choose from
2. It plays Blu-Ray discs, much better than DVD and is now the major format that all studios use for High Definition films
3. It is a Photo library with a built slideshow so I can look at my holiday snaps or have friends round and reminisce about times we had together
4. It plays Video files - I am watching Stealth as I write this, MPEG4 with superb quality
5. It plays music, I have all my iTunes music on my PS3 too so I can just listen whilst working round the house
6. It is a Social networking tool with free worlds to walk around and meet people from all over the world. You can play pool with new friends, ten pin bowling, watch a movie or just go shopping

Advantages: Feels more comfortable than original controller and has a turbo feature Disadvantages: D-pad is still not improved
Ok so I have not long recieved this from ebay and because of all the hype from these controllers being sold out they have now increased in price on the secondary marker. I managed to get one for £50 which I thought was a good deal until I used it. The reason why I purchased this was so that it can replace my normal xbox controller as the D-pad sucks for fighting games. As soon as I recieved this I tried it on Street Fighter 4 straight away and to my surprise I sort of found it worst than the original controller. The D-pad on the control is similar to the sega saturn one but only worst. Its hard to pull out the moves on this control as when you need to input specific commands the D-pad feels loose and is all one big button and you find yourself doing a dragon punch instead of a hadouken. When we bought the Sony PS3 it came with this controller.
The controller itself is uses Wireless technology and does come with a charging cable which can be charged by the PS3. You can also buy a Cintroller Charging Station which you put the controllers on when not using and they will charge.
The controller has Dualshock which in Game play vibrates, it does this on fighting games when shot or shot at.
The controller is an offical Sony product which cost's around £35 but can be bought online for cheaper.
Personally I would always but Sony controllers as they are reliable and are guaranteed to work.
We have found this item a bonus as we have a 4 year old who loves running around and used to trip over the old wired controllers, now there is no wires to trip over!
