a brilliant student and a whizz at Maths and he is eventually approached by a secret team, the Blackjack team, to become a member. They are a group consisting of very intelligent guys and girls who has devised an elaborate card counting system which helps them to beat the house at BlackJack. every weekend they try their skills out in Vegas and make tons of money. Card Counting is basically a way of remembering all the cards in a deck so you know what cards have already come out and which are still left so you know how to bet in order to win each hand. It's not illegal but the casinos do not tolerate it at all and you will get a sever beating if caught. The rest of the film basically shows them practising and their adventures, good and bad in Vegas. There's some crossing and double crossing as well which makes the action even more exciting.

Advantages: enjoyable,quite humourous and great cast Disadvantages: none that I can think of
part of the film goes on to show Elizabeth grown up as a young woman and she wakes up from a nightmare. The story goes on to reveal that her father is trying to get her married to a highflying guy called Norrington. It’s one of those classic things where the father/mother wants their daughter to marry a rich, successful man and the daughter doesn’t really have much say in the matter. Anyway Norrington’s plan to marry Elizabeth goes pear shaped when Jack Sparrow comes along.
It turns out that Barbossa, captain of the black pearl, stole the ship from Jack and now Jack wants to get it back. He goes to Elizabeth’s town to steal a ship so that he can go and find the black pearl. He gets found out as a pirate though and he ends up saving Elizabeth’s life when she falls into the sea during a pretty funny scene ...
Advantages: Great laughs, rock music Disadvantages: Cheesy and predictable, but that's why we love it.
I first watched this film not long after it was released onto DVD and I rented from blockbuster. It was so good that the next day I bought it on DVD and have watched it several times over the years.

The Story
The main character is Dewey Finn (JackBlack), a wannabe rock star. He gets fired from the band which he plays guitar in.
He lives with his friend Ned Schneedbly (Played by Mark White) a supply teacher and his bossy controlling girlfriend Patty (played by Sarah Silverman) , with no money coming in, prospects and generally being a lay about, Patty gets Ned to confront Dewey about the money he's owes for rent and bills.
