So what is it??? It is a trampet / rebounder with gym quality specifications but with a home friendly pricetag! No sorry kids it is not a toy for playing on but a serious piece of exercise equipment… really!
This is not the type of home exercise kit that will get put away in the spare room with the abs exerciser and so on… It is fun… and that is coming from someone who hates exercise!
I love swimming, but of course you can't really do that at home, so I was looking for another low impact exercise that I could do. It needed to be fun, easy and to fit in with the rest of my life… I am not a gym junkie and never will be! All I can say is I am very glad that I was recommended a
rebounder… I never knew exercise could be so much fun and so easy! Simply screw the legs on, read the 2 page leaflet, with exercises and get bouncing!
What is it?
The Reebok rebounder is a gym quality rebounder in a stylish black and silver design (and as we all know… appearances do matter!!) It will take a person's weight up to 18 stone (114kg) and comes complete with a short but comprehensive workout manual. The best bit… it only costs about £50 - roughly one month's membership at your local gym, or 10-12 exercise classes.
Opening the box.
When you open up the rather large box you will find 3 items.
The items are:
1 - The rebounder bed
2 - 6 screw in legs
3 - A workout manual
First use.
Simply take the rebounder out of the rather large box and place it on the floor with the writing facing downwards. Screw the 6 legs into the 6 holes and that's it! Turn it the other way round and Voila! Exercise time has arrived!
I would recommend reading the manual (all 2 pages) before your first bounce… then take off your socks and get going!
You can do all sorts of exercises on this rebounder and as it is cushioning the return to earth your joints aren't being as stressed as they could otherwise be. It is really a zero-impact exercise like swimming.
This model is a very sturdy design, 6 legs, numerous high quality springs that are covered with a silver cushion and a black trampet bed. The bed surround and legs are made of tubular steel, so it is lightweight to move but very durable and tough. As the bottom of the legs on this model are cased in rubber it doesn't mark the floor, yes there is a little depression formed… but as mine is regularly moved round the room you can hardly notice it!
Exercises
These include the following:
Running/jogging
Skipping
Star jumps
Tuck jumps
Simply walking
Dancing
Sit-ups
Crunches (while on your back)
And even skiing to help flexibility of ankles etc.
For those with mobility problems you can place a chair at each side of the rebounder and hold onto the backs, or there are special bars that can be fitted at additional cost.

Cleaning the unit:
If for any reason your rebounder gets dirty… left outside… the surface is very tough and waterproof… so simply wipe with a damp cloth!
Storage:
If you are limited for storage space it is possible to unscrew the legs on this model and store it under a bed for example. Very easy and takes a few seconds if that.
Tips…
There are a lot of expensive rebounding exercise videos out there, they aren't necessary as this is an exercise that you can do unguided. Jump, walk, run, skip… use weights for additional resistance… you can even practice skiing!
Conclusion:
YES! At last… exercise is fun!!! And I can do it watching TV!!!
