I have tried various forms of exercise ver the years, sometimes I get really enthusiastic about a particular regime, other times I just cannot muster the enthusiasm to carry it through. One of the most basic pieces of gym equipment for anyone wishing to workout at home has to be a basic set of dumbbells. Paying around £15 for a single pair of dumbbells may seem a little expensive - especially when full sets can be bought for similar money, but the Reebok Soft Grip Dumbbells really are the real deal.

I like to have options when working out as my preferences change over time and buying just a single pair of dumbbells isn't such a bad idea. My opinion of Reebok fitness products has certainly improved since this purchase.

The Reebok dumbbells are covered in foam for comfort, with an adjustable hand strap. The straps provide support for holding the dumbbells and the foam covering is a much better idea than plastic or rubber finishes I have used in the past.

The dumbbells meet my needs and I don't have anything to really slate about the product. The colour is a little boring, though, but on the plus side it is neutral. The uninspiring grey foam finish and the black straps are plain and simple, but also quite smart looking.

I have had a fair bit of use from these dumbbells, and although I own a few different kinds of dumbbells the Reebok brand is one I keep returning to. The foam is easy to wipe clean - ideal for if you share your home gym with others. Overall I am more than happy to recommend these dumbbells to anyone wanting to start their own home gym. The only downside is the price, for which I knock one star off for.

Review summary

for the review "Reebok Soft Grip Dumbbells"
A lot of money for one pair of dumbbells but worth it. Soft comfort grips and are better designed than a lot of the cheaper quality ones around.
