They also offer lots of classes, my favourite right now is body pump - you work out to music using weighted bars, which basically works almost every part of your body, it builds up general strength and stamina.
They also have social events (recently a halloween party) which all staff and members are welcome to and they really make ... ...have a bar area, which is great for meeting new people - plus a DVD rental system - much more than your average gym!
Membership prices begin at roughly £30 a month - but the best bet is to call them and speak to the sales team who are very helpful at recommending the right membership for each individual!
I have always felt very welcomed by all the reception staff there and feel comfortable, they are very helpful when i ring up to make bookings ...

...in Bournemouth but went to Fitness First when staying with my partner, who lives there. It is a lot nicer than other branches with a medium sized pool lit up which is very pretty. You couldn't do many lengths because of its size but it is nice to have a dip after a sauna.
I joined fitness first this year after they introduced a student rate for £25.99 a month. The gym itself has a range or cardio machines and weights with instructions to make using ... ...you join they give you free headphones so you can watch your favourite TV programme and work out at the same time.
I am more interested in classes. I have been to body pump which was very hard work and body combat, which is doing combat moves to music. It is very energetic and the teacher pushes you very hard but makes it fun at the same time. This is my favourite class.
There is also a nice bar which does a nice lunch menu and provides free squash/water. ...
