The Giant SCR has now been replaced for 2009 by the Giant Defy however there are still a number of these bikes knocking around in bike shops which you can often get your hands on brand new for a very reasonable price as they are considered to be old models. I currently ride a Giant SCR 2.0 and have found it to be a very reasonable bike. The relaxed sizing offers a very comfortable ride for commuting of casual trips, whiles the decent components and ... ...long hours on the road, and even carrying a loaded rack. The frame feels very solid and the carbon fibre forks mean that you do feel like all the effort you put in is transferred directly to the forwards motion of the bike! I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a versatile road bike that can be used for the odd race, but as the same time a practical every day sort of bike!
