Advantages: Free stuff Disadvantages: you get tired (d'oh)
I've been going to the gym in Ponteland for about a year now. It used to be run by a company called 'energetics' They were quite good but it was too easy to sneak in to the gym without paying. I never did this as I was a member but I think it was unfair how I had to pay £160 for a year when other people got in free. This company was taken over by 'Harpers'. Advantages: well-priced, very friendly, good for the social side Disadvantages: chatty atmosphere can be distracting, not much variety of resistance machines

The only fault as I mentioned was the kids in the school holidays, but ... ...mothers as they have a well run creche too.
The fact that it is run at a leisure centre gives the added advantage of swimming, squash, tennis, football, sauna and steam, sunbeds and a good sized bar along with many other facilities all included in the package. There is a really good atmosphere in the gym, with satellite television music channels members can make requests to get you in the mood for pumping iron, or to give you a good rhythm for the ...
