Advantages: Huge catalogue and excellent prices Disadvantages: Poor picture quality of the catalogue
I cam across Hingleys a couple of years ago, after a very unfortunate day just before a 500ish entry match in Somerset. I had £1400 worth of rods and poles stolen from the back of the car. Luckily, they were insured, and after looking for a big store that could totally kit me out again with my new stuff, I came to Hingleys. The reason that I wanted to collect everything from one store, was to keep things simple. I even found at hingleys that they ... ...make the most of my claim (if you know what I mean - good for them and good for me). Their quote was the best that I received. Better even than some of the more well known stores such as Bennets (who are also good).
Since then I've used them on a number of occasions. Obviously, living in Cornwall (with the shop being in the West Midlands), I don't ever get the chance to visit, but their mailorder service is very reliable, safe and fast.

Advantages: Friendly and helpful staff Disadvantages: None really. Although parking by the store can be difficult
My husband has used this store over the last 20 years and always found the staff to be helpful. They stock a large range of products and are always willing to do a deal. Whilst in this store you must look at the large range of carp baits. Their range of maggots and castors are always good quality.
This is a store we would recommend most highly for anyone who has just started fishing. The staff will give excellent advice on the necessary equipment ...
