Jungle Formula Insect Repellent

...I came across Jungle Formula Extra Strength Pump Spray in my local Superdrug and it cost £6.99. You can’t miss this on the shelves as it is a white bottle with a bright Green and Yellow label. There are many Jungle Formula products available such as: body sprays, plug-ins, body creams etc however for the purpose of this review and I am reviewing the Extra Strength Pump Spray which comes in a 75ml bottle. It is a pump action insect repellent spray for adults and children over the age of 6 years old. Using the pump you apply carefully to exposed clean and dry skin except for eyes and lips. ...my joy when I find Jungle Formula Insect Repellent. It's approved by The Hospital for Tropical Diseases. The can tells me they are suppliers to the Forestry Commision -- how much better can it get? This stuff sounds GREAT!!! I race home. I read all the safety stuff on the can carefully. I find that it's also ozone friendly. My day is made complete. I shut myself in the bathroom. I spray generously. I choke and stumble out. The fragrance is overpowering ...
...but I don't care. I can go out and enjoy an evening in the garden with a deckchair and a nice glass of something cool. I go out. I get bitten badly. I am very sad indeed. Maybe it's just me. I find it hard to read those approvals on the can. Someome must think this spray works but not me I shan't buy it again. ...

Went to Africa and used Jungle Formula Spray - all I can say is what utter rubbish! one evening I made sure I used plenty of spray on my legs, ankles and feet thinking I would be safe, however this was not the case and I got bitten really badly on my legs. I had so many bites that the following day I could barely walk due to the pain - I never want to experience anything like it again so I will be making sure I NEVER use Jungle Formula Spray again! ...

Review of Jungle Formula Insect Repellent

This product is not effective. My daughter complained and complained that it never works but I did not take her seriously as the packaging was very certain about it's effectiveness and it was stocked by Boots. I chose it over Mosi-Guard which we previously had no problems with because it was meant to be Extra Strength certified by some org or the other. Brought packs and packs all the way to Nigeria to last us a good while, only to be sadly disappointed. I discovered she was right when i used it at a barbecue event that stretched till late evening. This product needs to go back to the drawing board ...
