LA Fitness describe themselves as: "The most innovative and vibrant operator of health and fitness clubs in Europe". From my experience of LA Fitness so far since being a member, I think I'd have to agree. I joined my local LA Fitness gym on 1st June this year. Prior to this it was well over a year since I last did anything that even remotely resembled exercise, so needless to say I was a bit nervous about joining. Advantages: A good all-rounder, helpful staff Disadvantages: Could be a little pricey (but worth it)
I joined LA Fitness in Lincoln early January this year (2003) and although I have now only been a member for almost a month, I will gladly sing their praises!
It was the typical new year resolution - to lose some weight - and after a final push by my partner I made an appointment and went with a friend to find out about the facilities. The sales advisor (which is really what they are) gave a very good comprehensive tour of the whole complex and ... ...slim people terrified me. However, LA Fitness welcomes everyone and no one feels out of place! This is the best money I have ever spent. A final note to say that the changing rooms are very clean, anything you need can be obtained from the small shop/cafe and I have never heard a complaint yet! ...
