THE COSTS
Back in November I took advantage of a special offer of £41.50 per month on a 1 year contract which gave me Group Peak membership, i.e. I could go to any other LA Fitness gym except the Central London ones. This is a pretty good deal considering I was previously paying about £70p/m for ... ...and in fact since the LA Fitness takeover they've given the place a facelift with new machines. All the cardio machines are up to date with a good variety. They don't seem to ever get crowded and I've never had a problem getting one. They are fairly straightforward to set up.
The weights section has a good selection of weights with dumbells going up to 44kgs for all you hardcore bodybuilders! The resistence machines are up to date and easy to setup ...

...has meant that companies like LA Fitness continue to operate when they ought to shrivel up and dissappear. This club is awful! Showers are closed, though if you were to go inside them you would find broken floor tiles and a leaking roof. The exercise studio features a leaking roof and lots of 'feature' puddles that gym instrutors need to warn of, just in case a member falls. The club is like an unwanted puppy - neglected, tired and in need of some ... ...complete the much promised £1m refurbishment as its unusable at present. It's a shame as I have been a member for many years and used to love it - a really friendly and and intimate club, which under the 'new' ownership of LA Fitness has been run into the ground. ...

Advantages: nice friendly atmosphere Disadvantages: dirty showers, bad customer service
Ive been going La Fitness Northolt since march, got a good membership offer although there was some details the rep did not tell me e.g. i can get a discount because im a student, or the fact that i couldnt cancel my memebrship unless i went bankrupt. customer service is very poor at this branch especially on the phone, otherwise pretty helpfull. ive always had a problem with the music never being loud enough while working out, ive never had an oppurtunity ... ...that they lack good customer service skills. equiptment nice and up to date yet there never seems to be enough cross-trainers, there is always one of service. ussually overcrowded after 6pm. pool too shallow to enjoy but nice, steam room and sauna nice and updated. easy to settle into a gym like this, very friendly members and staff, reviews and consultations with p.t's make you look forward to excersizing. I dont regret joinging this gym at all, ...

Advantages: the people Disadvantages: lack of equipment, too many members.
unless you want join a gym where you pay money but can not use any equipment in the evening, this is the gym for you. well over packed, the gym can stick because of the overcrowding. quick to get you to sign up but you have to chase your money back on promotions offered. the only good thing about the gym is the staff and the staff. the swimming pool alays has promblems, such as the suana room is not working or the steam room is not working. sometimes ...
