The Lateral Thigh Trainer is a MUST HAVE

Advantages: Needs very little space, targets thigh muscles and REALLY WORKS
Disadvantages: Some may find it very boring

I happened to come across a T.V advert advertisting what seemed to be another very expensive, yet interesting peice of excercise equipment. So as usual in amazement I sat and watched the advert. It was for the Lateral Thigh Trainer. After having two children, my body never returned to its old self again, so I have been loooking around to try and find a cheap enough but effective excercise tool. So when the advert came on I was hooked and decided ...
...It was being advertised for 89.99 plus p&p, although it sounded goo, too good to be true infact i still thought it was very pricey. So I decided to go about getting one the "new fashion way as some would say" and look on the fabulous Ebay. Wow, there were so many, and I eventually brought myself a pink one for 19.99. Since buying the Lateral Thigh trainer I have really noticed the differecne in my hips, legs and stomach. If I'd have known when I ...

Step up to the fun!

Advantages: Exercises pretty much your whole body in only a few minutes a day
Disadvantages: Cost

***What is a Lateral Thigh Trainer*** For those of you who have managed to miss the cheesy adverts on Sky for the Laterial Thigh Trainer (LTT) - where have you been? The LTT is a revolutionary new way to work out - rather than being a traditional stepper where you just step up and down, the LTT swings out to the side as you step (like an ice skating motion) so it supposedly works your inner and outer thighs plus your bum and your obliques (the ...
...If you also splash out and buy the "optional" power cords these can be combined into your workout to work your upper body whilst also working your lower body - sounds great eh? ***Settings*** The LTT has variable tension (which is great) so you can have it as easy or as hard as you like - for instance if you are doing a fast paced cardio workout you will want to put it on a faster setting. If you are doing a lower body resistance workout you will ...

TAKING IT TOO LATERALLY

Advantages: nothing electrical to go wrong, saves time by being cardio and toning in one
Disadvantages: price

I’m going to admit to something shameful. It’s a terrible habit, and very addictive, whilst annoying everyone else in the house. It’s hard to admit to, but I think if I just say it out loud, and maybe if people say they do it too, I’ll feel better about it. Here goes. I enjoy watching shopping channels. I don’t mean I just watch them when there’s nothing on; I actively watch and enjoy them. There, I said it. I think my favourite shopping channel ...
...all the technical terms; ‘this one trains your abs’, ‘this one will put you in your cardio fat burning zone’, and so on. So, anyway, one day I was watching Vector Direct, when this strange tree trunk looking blonde woman came on, and started talking about this new exercise gadget. Every time we turned onto the shopping channels, there she was, stepping up and down on this huge black thing. It looked like a stepper machine, but, as she kept saying, ...

Me In Boxer Shorts And Trainers Scary Hey!!!

Advantages: Great For Aerobic Work
Disadvantages: Misleading Adverts

Being a dedicated and hard working househusband to a wife 5 kid's and 3 cats as well as numerous fish I was looking for a way to work out as it is very hard for me to take time out and go down the gym or out for a run as I used to do on a regular basis whilst I was out working. Sitting at home as any Housewife or Husband can tell you doe's get a little boring after you have cleaned up and sorted the babies out so I find myself occasionally watching ...
...I noticed the Lateral Thigh Trainer on an advert where you were getting the usual stories of I lost 14 stone in a week and I used to look like this but now I am as slim as a supermodel but even though I know this is a load of rubbish I was still very interested so I got onto my usual shopping channel good old EBay lol and found one on there for only £24.99 with loads of extras that the TV shop wanted £99 for so I bought it and in two days the courier ...

Get fitter with no excuses

Advantages: Easy to use, dont need much space, can work out while watching telly:)
Disadvantages: Bit bulky to move and store

Having found myself drifting away from going regularly to the gym and always using the excuse of having no time to go, I was always looking for ways to get fit at home. I'd gone through dozens of fitness videos which was fine when the kids were small and went to bed early but now I'd got to the point that I just wasn't up to starting a workout later on in the evening. And to be honest I got bored and frustrated watching some very slim fit lycra glad ...
...understood what it was like to feel pressured and struggle to find time to workout. No you dont!!! I needed something that I didnt feel encroached on my limited free time. It needed to be something I could do wherever my kids were and whether or not they'd taken over control of the TV. It needed to be something that could be fun. And it needed to be something where I could see and feel some results! I'd seen the LTT advertised in magazines and found ...

Great fun step macine!

Advantages: Not your average step machine with a detailed monitor
Disadvantages: Power cords optional - Don't bother

I bought this from the TV a few years ago. The ads were on all the time and there seemed to be a lot of hype. If it is well advertised enough, I think buying products can easily suck you in. It showed people on tv with before and after results. After having a baby I thought I would give it a go! I bought it for about £89.99 + postage. It comes with a monitor (which is great because it measures, time, calories burned, heart rate and steps per minute!). ...
...and the higher you switch up the dial, the harder it is to step down, this is the body toning mode). The instructional excersize video. And a healthy eating manual (which informs you of the best metabolisim boosting foods). I didn't receive the booklet in my box but that did not fuss me, plus I couldn't be bothered to call - Lazy, I know! It states on the adverts that it is easy storage, this is true, however, if you need to lift it to slot it ...

Well It Certainly Makes You Sweat

Advantages: offers a good workout; relatively easy to use
Disadvantages: cheap presentation; max. weight limit; squeaking noise; 'ghost' in the machine; again, the price

*edited to correct errors* As part of my New Year's Resolution (to lose weight, or to be precise, four stones in a year), I too was suckered in my the cheesy and somewhat unconvincing TV ad. I'd already seen it sometime last year at home, but it was during a forced visit to the Caribbean that I saw the ad again on American TV. With the barrage of junk food ads and slimming pills, as well as the gym being too difficult to get to, I decided to give ...
...most of which was from selling my Hong Kong MP3 player. First of all this thing is rather heavy and takes quite a bit of space. I don't have much room in the room I have right now, but it just about manages to squeeze in. Once you've taken everything out of the box, you start to wonder if it's been money well spent. Yes, you get the machine, a free diet guide, a free manual and "free" resistance cords, but the build quality looks and feels cheap, ...

NOT JUST ANOTHER ORDINARY STEPPER

Advantages: Ease of use, easy to store, makes you sweat
Disadvantages: Quite Heavy

I first came across the Lateral Thigh Trainer on an infomercial on Sky. It was priced at £89.99 + p&p. I thought it was too good to be true. I hummed and aarghed about it for a while. I happened to mention it to a woman I worked with at the time, and she had bought one, but didn't wat to keep it.....so I bought it from her for £50.00. When I first got it home I couldn't wait to have a go and see what all the full was about. Yes it's a stepper, but ...
...you are gliding. You go up and down, but side to side at the same time. I started off by doing about 10minutes, as I found it to be quite tiring, but I gradually built up to about 30minutes. For those who are a bit queasy, don't read this bit.....YOU DEFINATELY SWEAT using this machine. There are 7 levels between slow and fast. The fast is for more of a cardiovasculor work out and the slow is for a more toning work out. I vary between each. After ...

Great back-up service.

Advantages: Easy to use.
Disadvantages: It broke.

The Lateral Thigh Trainer ad campaign hit the TV screens here in New Zealand around March this year and I pretty much caved straight away. The ads were catchy and there was so much that appealed to me about this product. I think the main attraction was that it was small and portable and didn’t need a huge area to workout in. This suited me down to the ground and the fact that I could be working out while watching TV appealed to me too. Who doesn’t ...

Paid £29.99 + £6 Trainer with Power Cords!?

Advantages: Easy to use!
Disadvantages: Video is too short

I bought the LTT because the price I found on the internet was much lower than what is on TV, only £29.99 plus £6 shipping fee. This price includes the machine and the power cords as well. But I am not too sure if what I bought is exactly the same as the one advertised on the TV. If you are thinking to buy one from internet with the price I paid, you may want to read this review. Machine: 1. Colour I thought it will be entirely black, but it turned ...
...the bottom are some kind of light blue. Personally it was not my favourite. But considering the price, I will live with it. 2. Set Up It is pretty easy to set up, just follow the instruction and anyone can do it. The only thing is when to start, you need to press on the pedal really hard to get it move which I was a bit worried at the time but turns out ok. 3. Speed control There are fast to slow controls. I found it is quite hard to move the ...

Disadvantages: quite big and heavy

First off, the lateral thigh trainer is like a stepping machine but they go out to the side, not just up and down.i first saw the lateral thigh trainer on one of those teleshopping channels. the advert was so cheesy yet convincing so i went online to see if i could get them any cheaper. Lateral Thigh Trainer

Advantages: Stick with it - it does work!!
Disadvantages: Squeaks

This is my first review!! So here goes with a tentative (pedicured!) toe in the water! Bought an LTT online from UK Sports Imports for £44.95 including power cords who delivered within 2 days. Bought the dvd separately from ebay for £5. I think it's worth getting the dvd even though the LTT is really simple to set up and use, as it ensures you use it correctly. Also, watch out for "me too" LTT's - the most look-a-likey I've seen advertised is the ...
...Without the dvd, I was stepping for 30 minutes a day and my knees felt as though I'd been playing rugby or in a football match against Argentina (strange analogy considering I am female but how do you convey aching knees?!). So thank God when the dvd arrived and I stopped peddling like a mad woman! I use the LTT every day together with the dvd - I have every grin, hair flick and power breath down to a fine art ): You could easily remember the 2 ...

Lose the pounds!

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Stopped working correctly after 3 months

I bought my lateral thigh trainer 3 months ago, however I didn't buy it from the official website as I thought it was too expensive, instead I bought it off a competitor site for £49.95. I started off by doing 45 minutes every alternate day (working out to the equivalent the 20 minutes a day that's recommended ). I didn't use the diet provided as I'm hopeless with cooking and being a vegetarian there wasn't much of a choice in the booklet provided, ...

My only problem was that I got bored of it very easily watching TV but by switching on your ipod it makes it much more bearable and actually fun to do. Following the stretches as instructed I suffered from no aches and pains and the lateral thigh trainer was easy enough to use. It had started working on my thighs and my bum yet I saw ...

Lateral Thigh trainer

Advantages: Smallish, relatively inexpensive and it works!
Disadvantages: On its own it's no use for upper body and not good if you have back problems.

What is it? A fancy step machine that not only goes up and down but sideways at the same time. The idea is that you are not only working the back of your legs but all your leg muscles at once. It is also an aerobic excerciser so it gets the heart and lungs working and burns calories. Where do you get it from and how much is it? If you have Sky you can't miss the ads. or the 'phone number. If not just use a search engine. Do shop around. Prices ...
...mine from play.com. They don't seem to be selling the original now but they do have a lateral stepper for £44.99. Where can you use it? Pretty much anywhere around the home except in the bath or shower. It is portable but it is relatively heavy and quite awkward to carry so don't store it too far from where you want to use it. It does need a regular dose of WD40 to prevent it from squeaking so using it in the bedroom when your partner is still ...

Up and Down...ooh errr mrs

Advantages: Small and easy to use
Disadvantages: Doesn't last long

I decided to buy the lateral thigh trainer after seeing it advertised on television. The cost was high in comparison to buying online but I never bothered to investigate the online option at the time. I just thought, that looks great, I will buy it. It cost me £89.99 and a further £9.99 for the power cords which are an optional extra. The telephonist also asked me if I would like to join a discount holiday club. I declined this offer but was given ...

Just insert the rubber feet, the power cords and the electronic step counter and you are away. You are also given a motivational video which demonstrates the kind of exercises you can and should do. It's not rocket science though. I eventually got to the stage where I would just hop on in the evening, and do around 800 steps ...
