Rather than spending an excessive amount of money on a fairly standard piece of equipment i would reccommend purchasing the OneBoby 26" Anti-burst Gym Ball. I am a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer and see many people buying expensive products that have minimal advantages to the lesser priced products.
This gym ball is an excellent product which i would recommend. In my personal opinion you will complete a much more effective abdominal ... ...on the floor, the reason for this is that whilst you are maintaining balance you are using all your core muscles alongside your abdominal muscles.
You are not limited with this equipment to just working your abs, you can lie on your front on the ball and complete dorsal raises to stregthen your back, you can place the ball against a wall and lean against it with the ball at approx the middle of the back and use this as a support to complete squats ...

I own one of these balls and find them very good for exercise. If you have access to the internet you will be surprised just how many sites you can find which will give you ways to use this ball for exercise. They are useful for toning up all parts of the body and they are fun to work with too. A word of advice, if you have pets, particularly dogs, then don't give them the idea this is a toy for them. This is a fantastic product for a fantastic price- The instore price is actually less that £5! The box includes a hand pump, which is sufficient to pump up the ball in a short amount of time, 2 plugs to keep the ball inflated- 1 to use & a spare, and an instruction manual including how to inflate & several exercises.
