Advantages: Great Value, great suspension, good alround bike Disadvantages: Slightly weighty, not much else!
What a great bike. I bought this in November 2005, and have used and abused it around the trails of the Isle of Man & North Wales since.
Has had a new chain and brake pads, but appart from that has stood up to a lot of abuse very well. Oh, and new tyres too - not that they wear out, just that I am obsesive about trying to find the best tyre to suit my riding!

Advantages: Good mulit-tasking bike Disadvantages: Only supplied with summer tyres and brake system is pain in the neck to service
...kit, of course being a specialized it will be and over the last thousand miles which have been a mix of off roading fun and simple on road commuting i can say this bike is a good mulit tasker. its lock-out suspension makes a world of difference for when you need to climb a hill on the road and when your off road with the lock-out off, provided you have the correct inflation in the suspension its a strong firm ride and you can feel whats happening ...

Advantages: Great sturdy all round XC mountain bike. Sheer exhilarating fun. Disadvantages: Tyres.
I bought the 2007 model at the end of 2007 - paid £730.
I love this bike. It is so flexible.
The frame is excellent, very strong and has great geometry. I'm 5'10" and I bought the medium frame.
It is great for down hills and XC as the name suggests. It's well built, well balanced and comfortable to ride. The gears are well chosen, I have not found that I needed a wider range. Changing gear could be better, replace the LX with the Shimano XT and ...
