Surrey Health and Fitness has a 9 hole golf course, driving range, a Technogym, health club, jacuzzi and sauna. To join the gym you have to go on an induction meeting first, where they measure your characteristics (note if you have high blood pressure they will not accept you and send you to the doctors) and show you how to use the various machines and set up a work program to what you want to achieve. Everything in the gym is computer controlled ... ...your workout for the session. The card reads in your heart rate and calories burnt, or weight lifted and power used to lift weights as you do the various exercises. Once you have logged out you can see your performance for the various exercises and total calories burnt etc. On the Cardio Vascular machines you can plug in a set of head phones to listen to radio or TV, there are 6 TV's with different channels on each so you don't have to miss the football ...

Advantages: facilities, burly bodies! Disadvantages: no pool
As a gold card member and regular user of this club, I can assure you it is THE place to be seen!
The facilities are all you would expect (except for a pool which is sadly lacking), but its the clientele that really make membership worthwhile.
There are so many attractive and toned bodies - WOW!
I usually attend 4-5 times a week with friends for a good workout in the gym. At the end of a busy day what could be better than a relaxing sauna and ...
