This Is Going TOO Far
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Goes FAR further than the average golf ball
Disadvantages: Can only be used successfully by the top players
...golf ball.
~ ~ The Titleist Pro V1x is the successor to the Titleist Pro V1, which Titleist launched back in 1996.
Before the mid-1990’s, the golf ball of choice of the vast majority of professional and top amateur golfers was a ball manufactured from soft balata rubber. This was because the softer balata ball with its wound rubber core allowed the top players to impart more spin, and thus to land it more softly on the putting surface. ...

Titleist Pro V1X
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
silkyuk9
Advantages: Great name in golf balls
Disadvantages: Not really for high handicappers
...in tourneys.
I tried a titleist Pro V1X today in a Stableford tourney off white tees so I had a little extra yardage to play, I mostly use Titleist PTS Solo because they are designed for mid to high handicappers, and I can hit them, so they work for me. Titleist have brought out this new breed of ball, and as i said I don't know the science so i'm not going to say there is this and there is that, etc. All i know is that these balls are designed ...

The Number 1 Ball in Golf
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
Leggylad
Advantages: Distance, Feel, durability
Disadvantages: Price
...in it's play. If the Titleist weren't available I'd probably use this.
Other competitors of merit are the Callaway Hex (the new Black version of this is supposed to be very special). The Wilson True is another ball aiming at lower handicap golfers, i found this ball to be very good on around the green but a little weak off the tee and the fairway.
Summary - The Pro V1 has got a hefty price tag (over £3 per ball), but in my view it is worth every ...

It cant get better than this...PRO V1
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
Leguita
Advantages: Very Long (excellent distance), Very soft, Good spin control, Durable, Easy to find!!
Disadvantages: Wouldn`t recommend it for fast and soft greens!!
...playing with the new improved Titleist Pro V1. This is the number 1 golf ball in the PGA tour, and the fact that Tiger does not play with it, doesn`t mean is not good!! As a matter of fact 8 out of the top 10 players last year on the PGA tour played with this ball and most of them will not switch to another ball even if the offer them a juicy contract...why?..simply becuase they know that this is THE BEST GOLF THERE IS. This New Improved Pro V1 , ...

Over rated! DROP AND STOP...hardly.
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
Dannyisonfire
Advantages: Pro use, Feel, Spin rates
Disadvantages: Durability, cost.
...It was simply marketed because titleist saw the opportunity, through huge pro popularity, to get it onto our courses, thus making them a ton in the process.
The advantages of this ball, might be proved in the pro game but to be honest, and as this is from my own point and personal experiences myself and the people that I play with have seen little to no benefit to our games in comparison to other balls that we can get hold of, at a considerably ...

Titleist Pro V1 - the best ball yet
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
zoreff
Advantages: great feel and distance
Disadvantages: cost
...and always play with a Titleist ball. It's something of a habit, but the ball suits my game. In cold wet conditions I'll play with the pts wound ball, and in dry summer conditions the professional balata. That was until I tried the newest product from Titleist, the pro V1.
It is the tour professionals choice of ball combining both distance and feel.It is longer off the tee than the balata ball but gets enormous spin around the green.
I'm not sure ...

Prov1x is the king of golf balls!
Review of Titleist Pro V1x by
comedybegs
Advantages: Distance and spin are exceptional!
Disadvantages: a little bit pricey to lose!
...I used to use the Titleist Pro V1 before switching to this as it was awesome around the greens but i moved to the ProV1X because it is slightly harder, thus reducing the amount of spin on the ball and giving me around 10 yards more distance and by keeping my ball around 5 yards straighter.
I hit the ball pretty hard and I think this is one of the reasons why the ProV1X suits my game. I also have a pretty tidy short game and I find that harder ...
