IDEAL FOR LIGHT RECREATION, ROAD USE
Review of Trek 4300 Disc by MILLSY99

Advantages: Good price, Good looking frame, Smooth disc brakes
Disadvantages: Front Suspension Fork is very poor, esp for off road use

TREK 4300 DISC I bought this bike around 4 months ago, in this period it has done 700 miles without so much as breaking down on me, that being said I only use for commuting to work, even though the cycle is classed as a mountain bike, if used off road it would be in need of repair within a couple of hours heavy use<I use a specialized stumpjumper for off road use> the 4300 is a really good bike for someone who is just getting back into cycling/exercising ... Quick review of Trek 4300 Disc
Review of Trek 4300 Disc by trekdisc

I have the 2008 model of this bike, and after riding it both on and off road for the past few months I have been unable to fault it. The frame is incredibly light, the gear change is flawless and the disc brakes are superb, very responsive. The front suspension is a little too hard for my liking, but it is more than bearable. The thick tyres are brill, and I have not yet had a puncture, which is very impressive for me. For £350, I don't think you can go wrong with this bike. It's excellent value for money and I certainly don't think you can find a better quality bike for less money. The customer service I have had from Trek has been very impressive.
