A good buy if you can still find them
Review of Trek 6000 MTB by Pritch

Advantages: Lightweight, Good componentry, Reliable
Disadvantages: A little front-heavy

The Trek 6000 is part of Trek's year 2000 range, and as such is still selling in the shops now, often at a knockdown price. Top bike for a top price
Review of Trek 6000 MTB by drew_greenday666

Advantages: Very light
Disadvantages: Not many around

...caught my eye was the Trek 6000, I knew that it was a year old model but that wouldn't bother me. The first thing I done to the bike was pick it up and I was amazed with how light it was. Then I checked out the spec, the rear derailleur is a Shimano Deore LX and was adequate for what I wanted. With the bike being a hard tail it only had front sus, it was an "In Sync 453", and it has four inches and is adjustable. The rims are "Vuelta double rimed". ... Read review
