Advantages: Good for beginner divers, not too expensive. Disadvantages: Batteries not user changeable. Only shows temperature on home pc.
I bought my Aladin Pro Nitrox shortly after I had started diving nearly eight years ago, although I upgraded to the Air X Nitrox a couple of years afterwards (See my Air X Nitrox review) the battery on it still reads 58%. It is still running on the first battery. The display on it is big enough to see without squinting and the layout is easy enough to understand. Top left on the screen is your current depth, top right is your dive time, bottom right ... ...is your maximum depth. It shows you exactly what you need to know as an amateur diver. If you do happen to stray into decompression, it automatically switches over to a decompression mode that tells you exactly how deep to ascend and how long to stay there. The unit itself is big enough not to get lost if you drop it into your dive bag yet not too bulky. I bought a screen protector just to prevent the screen from getting scratched and this comes ...
