...local gym, we purchased a York 2 in 1 Cycle Rower. We actually brought ours from eBay for £150.00 but if you are buying new you can expect to pay somewhere in the region of £260.00 at the cheapest search on Kelkoo.
##THE LOOK##
This is a very solid bike/rower and is therefore by default very heavy. This is reflected in the look of the machine and you have a very solid, sturdy piece of equipment, taking up a relative amount of space in your living ... ...by my desk, so is not too intrusive, but if you have a smaller room I would suggest a smaller bike as this really is quite a beast. The makers suggest in the guide that you should place the bike on an exercise mat or similar due to the fact that it has mechanisms in it that have been greased and so on and they say it's just in case of leakages. We haven't done this and have had no problems so far but if you have it on an expensive carpet it might ...

It was one of these ghastly moments when you KNOW you have to take a deep breath and DO something - and not just a deep breath to try forlornly to get into the size 12 black trousers you normally have no problem wearing! Then there was that strange panting noise while lugging the laden Tesco shopping bags home.... was that really me? Definitely a loud wake up call to try and shed a few pounds! I'd been thinking randomly about getting some kind of ... ...earnest decided that it would make sense to find something which combined several features in one. As it happens, Tesco Direct had a Triple Points offer on and I saw this machine featured - and also read the other review here - which I found really helpful in comparing this to other possible models.
My main concern when the LARGE package arrived was if I would manage to fit it together OK on my own, as I am by no means an expert in anything DIY ...

Quick review of York 2 in 1 Rower and Cycle
The cycle/rower is very good. I can only find one fault with it.
A couple of weeks after I bought it in 2007, the wheels under the rower seat started to sqeak when rowing. This developed to become very annoying. Unfortunately it is enough to make rowing non-enjoyable. I asked York about it but have had no reply so far.
Once I can get that fixed, I will be 100% happy again. ...
