Advantages: Rocky, unique, edgy, catchy. .there really is no-one else like them. Worth a listen. Disadvantages: It's easy to get the words wrong so be careful when singing this really loud at parties.
Inerpol's 'Antics', is a really brilliant album. Produced by Matador Records in 2004, Antics is a refreshing change to most other bands out at that time. The album has a unique sound with lyrics that are quite honestly wacky! It took me hours of repeat listening to eventually learn what the proper words are instead of making up my own ones like 'we smile and we slow dance something something in the stars'. The proper lyrics, though unusual, are much more charming than what I interpreted them to be.
It doesn't happen very often, but all 10 songs on this album are as equally good as each other and there really is no slump or weak point in the album. The tunes are really catchy and once I hear the song Evil, I cant stop singing "Rosemary...ah" (and with a definite Harold Bishop 'ah'). The only annoying thing about it is that it seems to ...
Advantages: Great follow up album! Exceeded expectations Disadvantages: Not enough songs! We want more interpol!
Time To Be So Small" is not one of my favourites, but like all the others, still a good song, and classic Interpol. It's fairly slow and melodic, and takes a while to get into. This is probably one of the weaker songs on the album, with a less defined chorus, but still all the essential Interpol features which make this album their best yet.
So, Interpol - "Antics" in a nut shell. Great album, fantastically crafted lyrics, the best you will see from any band, and fantastic melodic sounds.
For existing Interpol fans, I would not hesitate in buying this album, and for those out there experiencing Interpol for the first time, I really recommend you give this a try, if you don't like it at first, keep listening and I'm sure you will.
So? go buy!!
...
And then... go buy their first album!!
Highly recommended ...

Advantages: Fantastic lyrical content, beautiful vocals, a brilliant example of what rock can be. Disadvantages: Some songs lack the spark that most featured here possess.
'm marrying this album. I strongly recommend this as I feel it is the lyrical and musical progression from 'Bright lights', Interpol's fantastic debut, which I would also recommend. Antics is a delicious cocktail of vast guitars, harmonious vocals, and mind swirling lyrics, and I think it is quite accessible, as it seems more crisp and clear than their debut. Despite having all the songs on my computer already, I simply had to own the real deal! ...
