I have been wearing Mountain Horse boots for years now including the ever popular 'Cheetah' boot. I have always ridden in a pair of long leather boots and normally the zips have either gone on them or the stitching which is quite frankly damn annoying! ...boots are quite chunky. Anyway Mountain Horse hadnt had the Sportive High Rider out for long and I had a look and went into my local saddlers to try them to see what they were like, I was smitten. They were so comortable and fitted really well, I have slim legs and normally I get a gap at the back of the boot but not with these! Two years on and I still have the same pair I bought. I bought a genuine australian driza-bone long riding coat back with me from australia having heard good reviews about them. I was less than impressed to say the least. Perhaps this particular coat was designed for the sunnier climes of australia and not the winter conditions of Britain!! I got this new body protector which is deisgned for women a couple of months ago and I really love it. I was initially put off by the price and weight but when you have it on you can't feel the weight at all and it is the only BP I have ever bought which i feel really comfortable in when i am riding and it feels really safe - it gives me a lot more confidence when i am riding out. My shopkeeper persuaded me to try it on when i was in my local saddler ...
...looks good too! I think if you saw it you could be put off by price but i would reccommend anyone trying it on if they got the chance to see how different it feels. The shoulders are also good as they aren't strapped around your arms so you have really good movement. ... Read review
