Ring Mini wind-up lantern flashlight

Is this some kind of wind up?

Advantages: No batteries needed, useful hook to hang in the tent, protective cage surrounds the LEDs
Disadvantages: Looks cheap and nasty, quite expensive outlay but will save you in the long run

had used one whilst camping with a family member. My mind was made up, wind up lanterns were the way forward and it was whilst browsing through a local camping supplies shop that I stumbled across the Gelert 12 LED windup mini lantern. In the box In the box there is two items, being the lantern and a mains charger and that?s it. There are no additional bits and pieces and no instructions, which did surprise me a bit since I can?t think of any product I have purchased over the last few years that did not include an instruction booklet or user guide of some sort, even when using the product was so ?idiot proof? that a guide is not required. Instruction booklets and user guides contain all the relevant warnings, disclaimers, how to dispose of the product, information about the manufacturer etc. etc. but the Gelert does ...

A cute little wind up train

Advantages: runs well
Disadvantages: none

This Pintoy wind up wooden toy train is really cute. I saw it in a toy shop and bought it as a stocking filler. This train will cost £2.99 from http://www.treasureislandtoys.co.uk/ or from http://www.smartstart-toys.co.uk. This train comes in a choice of 4 colours. The natural wooden base sits on black wheels and the cab can be either red blue yellow or green the3 engines a different colour blue yellow green or red respectively . On the side of the train there is a small handle /knob to twist this will wind the train up .When released this little train will wizz across the floor. Advantages: Light in the palm of your hand, compact rugged and great quality.
Disadvantages: Base cap might be fidly for some people to remove.
