The Trek 1000 is an excellent value for money Entry level Road bike. The increasing demand for road bikes is a result of Triathlons huge and continuing success in the UK. Cube Attempt triple road bike

Advantages: good kit, nice forks and top quality fulcrum wheels
Disadvantages: heavier than carbon

I have just bought a cube Attempt road bike. I researched the product well and compared it to alternatives such as Ribble, Trek and Giant. The cube has a good reputation for durability and the welds are really nicely finished. The group set is a mixture of Ultegra and 105 and works really smootyly. Carrera Gryphon - good value for money road bike

Advantages: Value for money, light
Disadvantages: Toe clip pedals

I purchased a Carrera gryphon through a Cycle to Work scheme and as such it ended up as very good value for money. From a ticket price of £399 there was already 20% off this model so with the Tax benefits of the C2W scheme this bike cost me c. £180.
