Rock Shox Tora

Advantages: Price, stiffness, travel, durability
Disadvantages: Average weight

Rock Shox seem to have the budget corner of the fork market well and truly cornered and this latest tora is no exception. Other manufacturers budget forks are cheap, heavy, flexy and not very pleasant to ride on but the tora blows away all these expectations. It comes in at a sensible (but no lightweight) weight, but makes up for this with excellent lateral stiffness. The travel is extremely plush for a fork in this price range and absorbs both small trail bumps as well as large drops with ease. This particular U Turn model allows adjustable travel and the fork features both V brake mounts as well as an IS disk mount. Rock Shox are known for their reliability and with regular servicing this fork should last a very long time. Simply brilliant for the money ...

Review of Rock Shox Tora 302 U-Turn 2008

U TURN ( to good for a cheesy title :-)

Advantages: Smooth and soulfull sound, timeless songs.
Disadvantages: Maybe to dull for the funky RnB lovers.

Although Brian McKnight is a very talented RnB singer, songwriter, producer, and a player of nine instruments (wow.... Yes nine!!) not everybody is aware of his work. So... let me break it down a little. Born in New York Mr McKnight's style of singing is very smooth and individual. From his music you can hear that his inspiration is taken from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Nat King Cole and he can even hit the high notes like the star Prince. This album 'U Turn' is the 8th Album from this Grammy nominated singer, released on March 24th 2003 on the Motown record label, this album does not disappoint when it comes to classic, modern RnB style. This is what I think of the tracks on the album..... *All night long* I love this track, it starts off with a soft hip hop rap by the Rapper Nelly and he also adds a great little solo in ...

Review of U Turn - Brian McKnight

Langdale Pikes Report

Advantages: Beautiful scenery, fresh air...
Disadvantages: None

Suddenly, you find yourself in the Lake District? You are heading along the A592 with Windermere to your left. You look to the north and in the distance you see a curious mountain formation. Two hill tops strangely positioned against each other. What is that? You wonder. It is ? or should I say they are - the Langdale Pikes. And today, constant reader, I am going to take you by the hand and guide you across this beautiful terrain. Hope you have brought your boots and some food and water. Best make you sure you have your waterproofs too, it can rain a bit here, as I am sure you might know. We move onto the A593, heading towards Coniston. But before Coniston we turn right for Dungeon Ghyll (B5343), where our destination is. If you have arrived here not knowing where the Lake District is, then I shall briefly tell you that the Lake ...
