Advantages: Durability, speed and control - Superb!! Disadvantages: There's no snow!
...Rossignol have kept these bad boys pretty much the same for the past 2 seasons simply because there is nothing they could do to make them better!
These skis are guaranteed fun, on or off-piest. I'm going to keep them for at least 10 years.
Not quite as fast as my old school Rossignol 198's but then again Bandits are like paddles in comparison. The wide structure does help them cruise nicely over powder and still leaves you with a great degree of control on piested runs as well!
Perfect ski for those of an intermediate or advanced level.
Very hard to fault them but I would say they need tip guards as these do tend to get a little cut up. Not really a fault, just a good idea if you want to keep them looking as slick as they did when you bought them....

Advantages: Good variety of high quality tools in a compact and lightwieght package Disadvantages: Tyre levers are average, no ring spanners for older bikes
...Why would you want one?
Multi-tools have been around for almost ever - I have a turn of the century mutli-tool, complete with knives, a hook for doing up bootlaces, and amusingly a spike for removing stones from horses hooves.
The Hexus has a similar design to the ubiquitous swiss army knife, although rather than blades it has allen keys, and screwdrivers. The Hexus is your get out of jail free card when you need to carry out an emergency trail/road side repair.
What does it do?
While it is possible to use this for general maintenance, I generally prefer to use proper tools for this purpose. MInd you, popped in a pocket, I find it handy for tweaking when test riding the bike after an overhaul.
On modern bikes, you will come across 3 types of bolt/screw.
1) allen head - the vast majority of bolts.
2) philips/slot head...

Advantages: Small, light, blade quite sharp, a brilliant key ring tool Disadvantages: Smaller Blades, tweezers pointless
...a mechanism built into the tool - maintainace free and it will last! Then its a case of pulling out an impliment and closing the tool back up again. Why do this i hear you ask? Well if you were to use the blade and it folded in on your fingers you wouldnt be very happy, would you!? Its not an entirely fool proof system and but theres more user protection than on your average Swiss army knife.
The tools themselves are nothing exceptional - they all work as advertised - bar the tweezers, as they dont come out of the tool. Ruler is a bit of a gimic - i find i would have no user for it. Just remember none of the impliments will work as well as a sperate tool - but thats only to be expected and they do a deacent job.
Anyway to sum it all up the micra is the sort of thing to keep on you key ring. Its small, durable and comes with the 25 year Guarantee...
