The trampoline was brought for my brother as a birthday present back in September. It had become a bit of a craze where we live to have one of these trampolines and so after persistent begging my dad ordered him one from Argos. The trampoline itself is 13ft in diameter (396cm) and 35inches in height (89cm). The framework is made from galvanised steel and is very robust. The jumping mat is high quality and made from black heavy-duty material, which has a white X, shape marked in the middle to indicate the safest spot to jump! The jumping mat is surrounded by pads, which cover the 88 galvanised springs and the framework. The current price of the trampoline is £159.99. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Delivery ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
If you are planning on getting one of these trampolines, the two most important things to thing about are: 1.) Whether it will fit in your garden – now this may seem silly but it is supprising how big these trampolines are and although you may have measured whether it can physically fit, you may not have considered how much space you will be left with – for example; if you have a small garden, the space once the trampoline has been put in place may not be enough for you. 2.) Whether you will be able to get it to the garden – now this is the one that people don’t consider! Find out how it will be packaged and whether you will be able to get it round tight corners etc!
Argos say that the delivery will be around 28 days and I think the delivery for my brothers trampoline was slightly over this but only by a few days. You are not able to collect the trampoline and it has to be delivered which can be a bit of a pain if there is not always someone in the house.
Whilst it is not horrendously difficult to assemble, you do need at least 2 people to put the trampoline together as it is large and heavy! The trampoline comes with a spring loading tool, which makes attaching the springs relatively easy. The instruction manual is also very good and detailed.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Storage ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The trampoline we got, comes with a fitted cover which you have to tie in place. This is good as trampoline covers are ridiculously expensive when purchased separately. It can be a bit time consuming, tying and untying the cover and if it is a windy day it is easier to have 2 people but the cover keeps it clean, dry and protected. The trampoline is not designed to be unassembled so once it is up, you should expect to have it up permanently.
The trampoline comes with very clear safety instructions. The rules to help avoid injury include; Only one person at a time – we have more than one person on the trampoline at the same time but with younger children, their co-ordination is not so good and it is best to only have one on at a time to avoid bumps and knocks! No somersaults – well when you have a 15 year old boy and his friends this rule is obviously going to be ignored but it is advisable to be very careful when doing things like flips and turns as landing badly can be extremely painful and even dangerous. Supervision at all times is strongly recommended – for young children it would obviously be very irresponsible to leave them unattended as the trampoline is high off the ground and any bad landing or fall could cause serious injury. I would also recommend that in general (no matter what your age) supervision is a good thing! This is from experience! – There have been countless times where I have looked out into the garden to see my brother laying flat on the trampoline, holding his leg, back, arm, neck, foot, hand etc and moaning in pain!! So in case you do end up injuring yourself its best to have someone near by who can ring for an ambulance if necessary!~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Positives ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
- first and foremost, the trampoline is great fun for all ages, as well as a good form of exercise! - The frame work and the structure of the trampoline is very good and of a high quality. - the size of the trampoline makes it fun as it is so large - The pads are made from closed cell foam to exclude water so it keeps the trampoline in a good condition. - good user documentation is supplied which is always a useful thing! - the spring loading tool and the trampoline cover are very useful to have included in the pack - assembly is relatively easy
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Negatives ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
- the size of the trampoline is also a negative as it does take up a lot of space but then the purpose of buying it is to buy a large trampoline so I guess this is not really an issue! - It can be time consuming to cover the trampoline so it may not get done too often! - it is quite expensive, although it is something which is going to last a long time and hopefully get a great deal of use!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Warranty ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The warranty is for 10 years on frame against rust causing failure, 5 years on the mat, and 2 years on the stitching and 1 year against manufacturing defects. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Overall ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Well this is definitely great fun! It does take up a large amount of space and is also quite expensive but as long as you are sure it will get well used then it is definitely worth it. The shape and design is pretty safe an the target in the middle of the trampoline helps keep the jumper in the safest part of the trampoline! The cover has a small hole in the middle so any water can be drained through, this is a good idea as it makes the cover easy to remove but also prevents the risk of drowning if a young child were to climb onto the cover when full of water. All in all, I think this was a good purchase and especially good as my youngest brother is 5 years old and he will get the benefit of it as well!
Advantages: great fun, good way to exersice, Disadvantages: you have to fight the kids off
As you may have noticed by the title, i am reviewing the 8ft trampoline with enclosure. Which looks different from the one pictured ( but looks nice) and is smaller, but i will get round to that later.
PACKAGING : This trampoline and enclosure come in the same box which is about 5ft x 2ft x 1ft and is a rectangle shape. the packaging is quite plain as it is a large cardboard box, with a big sticker on it showing the trampoline and the name of maker.
... ...to have my partner pick it up for me as there was no way i could have lifted it by myself. So if you are a single mum and you want to pick it up, it would be easier if you had someone to help, also i dont think the box will fit into small cars, exspecially with the kids in the back.
SETTING IT UP : When you have opened the box, if you have a rumage around in the box you will find 2 white booklets, one is for the set up of the trampoline and the ...

Advantages: Great Service, products and delivery Disadvantages: none
I've just bought a 10ft Skyhigh Trampoline and Safety Enclosure package deal from Big Game Hunters. It came with a cover and ladder and delivery was free. The guy on the phone said delivery was 3-5 days, and it came the next day. Amazing! I was shocked when the courier knocked on the door.... The package was strapped up securely and although you could tell it had been in a couriers van, the package wasn't damaged. A good start in my book. The courier ... ...The boxes are quite heavy so I would suggest that 2 people move the boxes Building the trampoline took less time that I thought, about 40 minutes and the enclosure about 1 hr. The whole thing looks very smart and my kids love it. Excellent value product from Big Game Hunters. Great knowledgeable customer service too. Highly recommend them and their products ...

Advantages: Keeps you fit and alot of fun!!!!! Disadvantages: kills ya after a while!!!!
Trampolines are one of the greatest exersisers ever(i think!!!) i have one myself an 8ft one with a safety net which we use for my younger brothers to stop them falling off!!!
they are quite high so if you have young children you would need a step to get up it!!!!
The have metal legs which are in 'u' shapes with a plastic green/red/blue rim around the edge with a bouncy elastic netting for the middle.
They come in different sizes from 8-18ft and ... ...hand £250 with safety net and we brought it off of an internet site.
There are lots of different moves you can do such as: half twist, full twist, tuck, pipe, stradle and seatdrop.
i went to a trampolining club which is also very useful!
if you were planning to do flips on a trampoline you would need bigger than a 8ft trampoline because there would not be enough flipping room!!!
there is a white dotted circle in the middle of the trampoline where ...

Advantages: Absolutely great fun for all ages! Disadvantages: Do need to watch younger kids, no rain cover supplied
I bought this trampoline for my 2 kids - because of their vastly differing ages (14 and 5) its hard to buy things they can both enjoy but this has fitted the bill perfectly.
The trampoline is the 8ft round version from Argos cost £89.99 and they had a free delivery promotion so it came straight to the door, which is handy as it is quite HEAVY - you will need 2 people to lift and assemble.
The trampoline seems very well made and is designed to live ... ...supplied (although I have seen them on Ebay) so if it has been wet you need to dry the trampoline off before use with an old towel. It took me and my husband about an hour to assemble and was actually easier than anticipated and fairly straightforward. Obviously I knew of the dimensions beforehand but now its in our quite small garden it looks very BIG and perhaps check the space you have available before purchasing.
Our kids both LOVE it and go ...

Advantages: Alot more safer than rectangular ones because it has a controlled bounce. Disadvantages: No major disadvantages, slight one is harder to cover by your self.
After finding out my friend had got a new trampoline i was round there 24/7! I thought the interest would ware off after a while but it never did, after pestering my dad to get one for me for my birth day i finally got one. It was easy to assemble (with two people) and took about 1 hour in total and was not strenuous at all.
Being alot cheaper than rectangular trampolines you would think there may be hidden disadvantages. To my knowlege there is ... ...getting or keeping fit. There is no better way to get fit!
I have had my trampoline for about a year now and there has been no problems with it, and no one in my family has got bored of it, from my little brother aged 5 right up to my dad aged 50! It is great for every one, and there also has been no injuries so far. This has not come as a suprise because Round Trampolines are renowned as being far more safer than rectangular ones. Though it is ...
