As you may have noticed by the title, i am reviewing the 8ft trampoline with enclosure. Which looks different from the one pictured ( but looks nice) and is smaller, but i will get round to that later.
PACKAGING : This trampoline and enclosure come in the same box which is about 5ft x 2ft x 1ft and is a rectangle shape. the packaging is quite plain as it is a large cardboard box, with a big sticker on it showing the trampoline and the name of maker. I will add the box is very heavy, i had to have my partner pick it up for me as there was no way i could have lifted it by myself. So if you are a single mum and you want to pick it up, it would be easier if you had someone to help, also i dont think the box will fit into small cars, exspecially with the kids in the back.
SETTING IT UP : When you have opened the box, if you have a rumage around in the box you will find 2 white booklets, one is for the set up of the trampoline and the other is for the set up of the enclosure / user manual. (states you may need 2 people to put up)
The trampoline set up book starts with : introduction and warning on pages1-3, information on use of the trampoline page 3, accident classification page 4, tips to reduce the risk of accidents/trampoline saftey instructions and supervisors on page 5, lesson
plan page 6, basic trampoline bounces page 7, and finally on page 8 you get to the setting it up.
Trampoline Set Up : Setting it looked so easy ( i say looked as my partner did most of the work). and it took him just over an hour to complete.
The instructions are simple to follow, you start by placing the frame on the floor as shown in the pictures. All these pieces slot together, so you dont need a screwdriver. When you have the frame up you get the sheet that you bounce on, the springs and the handy little gadget used to put the springs on and go on to the spring loading instructions. ...... ok now this bit does look a bit confussing as the are lots of boxes with lots of numbers ( i will have to credit my partner as he had no problem understanding this ). Right what you have to do here is start at zero (with the trampoline being round you can basically pick this point yourself), and put 4 springs in place, then you have to count round every 6/7 holes and apply another 4 springs, you should repeat this untill you have 4 springs on every quarter of the trampoline making sure you have the same amount of holes on the frame and V rings on the bounce sheet inbetween. once you have these inplace you can go round and connect the remaining springs. once this is complete you can apply the pad that covers the springs, which you just tie down with knots.
Setting Up The Enclosure : You will need a spanner or ratchet for this, which is not supplied and i am not sure which size ( i will ask my partner and add the size later this evening). Also this may take 2 people to do, if you are a lady with not much upper body strength. ( sorry girls i do have to admit, sometimes we do need men).
Right this is so easy, you get the 12 poles. 6 Blue & 6 Green and put 2 blue / 2 Green together so you have 6 long poles ... 3 of each colour.
Now the harder part, you get one of the long coloured poles and hold it against one of the legs of the trampoline at the marked point shown on the leg. ( which is 18 inches from the ground). And with the other hand you get 2 U-screws, 2 clamps and 2 nut locks and bolt it in place. ( this is were you might need the other person to hole the pole in place. but what my partner did was fit the U-screw, clamp and nuts in place, slide the pole in and tighten it up . ..... which i would never have been able to do, as i did have ago, but i just couldn't hold it up and bolt it at the same time due to lack of strength and not enough hands).
You also get screw covers to stop the nuts from rusting ( i had 6 missing)
Once you have repeated this and have all poles in place ( i put mine as green/blue/green/blue ....). You get the coloured tube caps and place them on the poles. these come in the same colours of the padding that comes already on the poles. Once this is done you get the net and attach it to the tube caps with the snap in buckles, so it is secure on all 6 poles, then you will have lots of black cord (3 i think) and you thread this through the bottom of the net ( which has holes already made ) and through the V-rings on the trampoline, when you have all of them secure and tied down you are set to go.
STORAGE : This also comes with a weather cover, so when it rains you will have to unclip the net and slide the the safety poles apart ( which is easy), and lay them on the trampoline, then cover with the weather cover. the net and poles are easy to take down and put up, taking only a few minutes.
TESTING : i would recommed testing the trampoline before letting the kids play on it, just so you know it is safe. ( you might want to test more than once just to be sure).
WHAT I THINK OF THE TRAMPOLINE : I personally think the trampoline is great, i have got the 8 ft one as i have as i dont have alot of room in the back garden, but it is still as much fun as the larger ones. It's also great because my house is now 70% cleaner than before, as the kids spend more time in the garden and dont get bored, they also go to bed alot easier as they knacker their selfs out alot quicker. I also use the trampoline which i class as good but fun exercise, you also have a bit about stretching and exercise on page 16 of the trampoline manual.
SAFETY : This trampoline along with any other does come with safety warnings and instructions. And states that you should never leave children unattended as the could have a nasty accident or brake thier neck or suffer a serious head injury.
(even though you should only put one person on at a time i do get on the trampoline with my son who is 2, but i would not recommed more than one adult on at a time) You also get 2 lamenated safety sheet, to attach to the trampoline, there is also one stuck the the spring padding.
WOULD I RECOMEND IT : YES .... i would recommed the trampoline, as anyone could have fun on it. But i would recommend getting one with the enclosure as it is so easy for small kids to bounce right off it.
COST: I spent ages trying to locate a trampoline, that was a reasonable price and in stock. (for both trmpoline and enclosure bundle)

Advantages: Alot more safer than rectangular ones because it has a controlled bounce. Disadvantages: No major disadvantages, slight one is harder to cover by your self.
