Advantages: Look cool, roll really smooth
Disadvantages: stock frames and soul plates are a bit slow

...I love these skates. They skate really similar to all the old Salomons except, they are much more comfortable and look much cooler. They wheels and bearings are really smooth and the frames and soul plates can now be exchanged for other companies products (UFS frames, Mecanizm Wings, etc.). The STI's still have the heel shock absorber,but now they also feature a full length shock absorber on top of this. They still have the custom fit liners which can be moulded to the shape of your foot for a perfect fit. Basically I love these skates and if you even liked the old Salomon skates you’ll love these too. They are just like the old ones but improved in so many ways. Buy them now.... Read review

...Last year (2000) Salomon announced the release of two new skates, the ST90 and the ST80. For some reason Salomon decided to scrap production of the ST80 and released the ST70 (a cheaper model) instead. Last summer Salomon decided to sell off all of there sample models of the ST80 so now these samples are available. Since these are sample skates they were only ever made in one size (uk 8.5) so if this size is too large or too small for you then forget about buying these skates as riding wrongly sized skates can be detrimental to the health of your feet. Out of the box these skates look amazing. The cool blue-grey colour used for the boot is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing of on any of the recent Salomon skates. ...The Salomon st10 is one of the new range of UFS (Universal Frame System) skates released by Salomon just before Christmas 2001. The st10 is the budget skate which they say as aimed at beginner to intermediate skaters and they cost £140. Looking at the skate there don't seem to be many differences between these and the previously released Feinburgs other than the colours and the wheel set-up. The skates come with a nice looking blue cuff and liner, white soul plates and black salomon UFS frames. The salomon liner is one of the most comfortable and long lasting liners around. The liner features coolfit so once you've worn them a few times the mold to the shape of your feet making them much more comfortable.
