I work in a outdoor shop but I'm not a very outdoorsy person, I'm really fussy when it comes to footwear, and wouldn't really wear walking shoes or boots unless I really have to, Climbing a mountain for example. That was untill the Salomon expert lows came in delivery one day, walking shoes are normally bulky looking and not at all attractive but these are really nice, my ones are light grey, dark grey and black, they have mesh panels and suede panels with a rubber rand around the toe.
The mesh panels are for breathabilitly, but they don't have a breathable or wickable lining, so my feet do get quite hot but a pair of wicking socks like coolmax normally sort that out, the downside of the mesh is that if it rains the water gets in easy as they don't have a waterproof lining, spraying them will make them resistant to water but stepping in puddles is not a good idea! The laces are designed so they can be done up quickly with one pull, no fiddling about tightning up each section!

I wear my shoes mainly for work and light walks in the woods, they have contagrip soles which is suitable for light walking, maybe some hills, depends if it's rocky. I find that they give good ankle support even though they are a shoe and very comfortable from the moment I put them on, I didn't have to wear them in and I didn't get blisters.

They look good with combats, shorts and cropped trousers and are not bulky looking, they are also very light.

I would recommend these to anyone who wants to do some light walking, wants something comfortable and a bit more stylish than other walking shoes out there at the moment.
The only downside being that they aren't waterproof, but they can be treated.

They come in sizes: 4-8 and 1/2 sizes

They were £59.99 when I got them, that was over a year ago now, we don't stock them anymore but I've seen them around at other places at that price and some others at £49.99
